That's cool. I was working on plans for a series about dragons. They had the ability to transform into different hominid races based on their element.

Well pretty much every kind of animal, its all dependant on eye color.
Brown=Mammal
Blue=Birds
Green=Fish
Orange=Reptiles
Purple=Bugs

Well they look like humans initially but with different facial features and some have odd eye colors.

Well just to boil it down. Its about an alien prince on the run from rebels and invaders, undergoing a metamorphosis which will unlock his powers and eventually escaping while he and his vassals go from planet to planet, until they're old enough to properly fight in the war.
