For now the only pairing I've been obsessed with is Xanatos/Owen.

I always imagined that Owen would behave as some sort of nanny to Xanatos, since he follows him everywhere and takes care of his needs.
Which means keeping an eye on him whenever he works late at night, or forgets to eat, or puts himself in danger with one of his plans or experiments.

Goliath is also an excellent spanker for Xanatos, as you saw ^^

Actually, I'd already have a plot in mind:

A solitary lumberjack lives alone in a cottage in the forest, and he either finds or is somehow obliged to take care of a child. It could be the son/daughter of a friend that is now dead and asked him to take care of his child, or an orphan that got lost in the woods, you decide.
Of course, magic, monsters, orcs and goblins exist in this world (in fact some of the villagers would think that the lumberjack is crazy for living in the forest alone).
