Can "see" students--such as Ariadne and her followers, and clamp onto and paddle the students , at least for smoking, pretty much as they re-enter the school, at one entrance so there's no chance of escape. Just how students are held before they can be punished by the paddle pulley is still an open question, because I doubt there are enough clamps to hold them all. My guess is that these girls are taken by the paddle-pulley extensions throughout the school once they enter--it "knows" who these girls are because of their photographic ability of each of these girls--close up. Before its elimination--unless you want it to be retained--the rug-beater can lift a girl's skirt and completely lower or remove a girl's panties by means of small clamps that come out of the main cylinder, and they are kept in place because the arms and clamps are unmovable. I also have another idea for when the students bunk off. What if there was a cyborg that is only used for skipping school? The cyborg is programmed to never harm the girl except smacks on the rear, nowhere else. She tracks the student down, as every student who is enrolled has their identity installed within the system, and actually runs through civilisation to get to the student.

She punishes you publicly though no-one would really care as the Paddler Pulley is quite common to live next to, and put you underarm and takes you all the way back to school.

Arianna is a transfer student who went to experience St Adrian's High, where she was overjoyed by the fact that it had machines.
She was sent there after the school was installed.
