I've read a few things, between Dragon Ball, Naruto and just recently Fairy Tail, were some of the things that I finished in whole as far as reading the manga. The rest had been in anime format.

I'll take that as you like both, but lean toward manga. And for what you've read before?

Well manga is definitely better if you want to focus on story, anime is better obviously for visuals, especially for something more action-packed, but pointless filler can be rather annoying.
