I like the idea of having some sort of real or imagined treasure as a long term motivation for them to go after. And I'll stop with the rubbing. Re-reading it, I can definitely see it coming off weird which is my bad.

I think thats two good reasons. Definately think she is pretty adventurous. But what do you think about her following some real, or iminaged treasure? I am not sure I can sell the idea well with my writing, but it would give them something to do in the long run.

Sorry about that! I was doing it to alleviate some sting but I'll tone it down. I think her motivation was about wanting to evade some arranged marriage, but maybe she's also really wanting to visit Greece so decided to kill 2 birds with one stone for that?
