Want to get rid of the annoying adverts? The answer is simple. There are 4 levels of advertising on AnimeOTK:
Level 1: (Your Level, guests and members with 0-9 posts) has maximum advertising. Level 2: (A user with 10 or more posts who has been a member over two weeks) have vastly reduced advertising (including removal of the large full screen closable adverts) Level 3: (A member who has been registered over a month and has over 50 posts, or has a special account like "artist" or "writer" sees minimal advertising. Level 4: (VIP Donators) receive no advertising.
All donators of $10 or more will never see an advert on our site again!
Quite frankly, I can hardly pre-empt anything when someone has already made their intentions clear as day. If they are apt to go through with them through such a thing as was in this case, it's not a great loss to begin with. If they are not, then well. Certainly, drama will happen with or without me stirring. It's a sown field.
As for hostility, I usually lack the care to be hostile. People do notice when I am. I simply do not suffer gratuitous drama lightly.
Anyways. Those are not discussions for this place and time. Warning duly noted. I will exercise restrain in the future, or keep arguments private.
I'm not sure if you think you're being helpful or if you're being antagonistic for a reaction but on this occasion I'm going to have to step in.
I let your blatant wooden-spoon stirring of the drama the last time slide as there were faults on all sides but it was not appreciated when others - most obviously me - were trying to calm it.

Please do. We do not appreciate being guilt-tripped, especially through no particular fault of ours.
Comments to drive people off the site are especially most unwelcome. If the time comes to show someone the door, with or without a firm boot applied, it will be taken so don't worry about that and please don't try to pre-empt it with such naked hostility.
My days of egyptian history are long behind, but I seem to tremember that the Horus/Seth dychotomy was more local in nature, with both representing one of the sides of Egyptian landscape. Initially, Horus presided high egypt and Seth low egypt, and after the unification, Horus presided the 'civilized' Egypt and Seth went to represent the wild one- the desert.
On a deeper level, I think Horus represented might by culture, industry amnd military might, while Seth opposed him as the might of Nature, both threatening and neccesary. The fact that is often associated to sandstorms is probably because that was the most palpable and frightening demostraron of the powers of Nature they knew- I'm not sure Typhon had to do with it, since the cult of Seth predates Greek presence in Egypt as far as I know.
For all we know, though, it is possible that in time Seth took incarnations from other gods- this is by no means uncommon in religion.
I think you're right about my misinterpretation of the fate of Set; so I concede: you are right!
By the way, do you know the story of Typhous (I think that's how you spell it)? Anyway, in Greek mythology he was a TITANIC son of Mother Earth who tried to overthrow Father Zeus and the other gods. At first they ran away but Zeus overcame him with his thunder and lightning bolts, and threw him into Mt. Aetna, now a volcano, where he is to this day. The greeks always tried to identify their gods with everyone else's, so they ID'd Set with Typhonous, also apparently assoc. with winds (whence Typhoon), like Set is in Egypt, am I right?--a desert storm god?
I was thinking about something different, Same Marigold, same Susan, same Isabella, and same James, well a older James, on who possible grew up with Marigold. One that did not die a horrible death by having his arm blow off when the Mobil suit he was piloting took a direct hit from a Zaku's beam rifle...
