I know I'm a few years behind on the japanese artists (especially ones like him that don't upload except once per decade) but is this relatively new?
I don't think we have it on the site, either.

The no-cache link isn't transparent, I coloured the background with the sites colour. I was trying to be clever (at least to people not on the white AotK skin if that still works).

Ya know, I did see your new version, remember I said that the 'edit image' thumbnail was blue - that's the one that I saw. Presumably the nocache version of that one before I replaced it was the one you uploaded.

We could debate all night but in the short-term it isn't going to be fixed. Just upload the image with the new background version as a new image and I'll remove the old one later, at some point I'll speak to stoner and get a fix for the server not replacing the image correctly because it's still showing the old one even on my phone not logged in (ie, loading for the first time).

the issue was while I remembered turn of the of my working background (which is neon green so that I can spot and holes in the colour) but i forgot to turn on the real background when I exported, the AnimeOTK correctly showed the transparent background (green in the thumb nail and black in the full view) But obviously her black hair (and the artist's log) doesn't work with the sites background, hence why I tried to replace it with a real background (see link)

But obviously when I refresh the page it goes back to the old one... looks like the server needs something to get it to refresh when images are replaced, I think vulcanspock had a similar issue which she solved eventually by simply uploading the new one separately and having me remove the busted one.

You want it to show NO transparent background? I can try to replace it. I've saved it and opened it and it shows as transparent, it's just our software doesn't know what to do with .png's it seems.

It's interesting as it's different transparency's elsewhere. The thumbnail on the homepage is correct; the thumbnail in your gallery is black; the thumbnail quickselect on the image underneath it is green; and when you go to edit image it's blue.

This is a transparent png, also correct in some of the thumbs and jet-black when viewed.

AHA, it was the ellipse I was missing! I'd replaced all the quotes, removed the C and a few others... I didn't realise the dots were one too, lemme try again.

I was noting what you said earlier about the way the server converts to ASCII, is that definately what it is? I was trying to clear up a big block of text for someone from this image:

The description contains a lot of italicised quote marks (in fact, it's dA's default font which, possibly by design is incompatible with our gallery software).
For example:

- ‘
Ours are:
- "
- '

Even replacing these, removing the copywrite and emotes I still couldn't post the text-block to the gallery as it still contains some unknown character (presumably punctuation which 99% of the time is the problem posting from dA) so I tried a text-to-ASCII converter which left the punctuation alone saying it was already ASCII.

Is there another language I could try to convert the text to, something simpler? Even copying to a .txt doesn't change the punctuation and it can't be find/replaced.
