I can summerize (and I'm sorry this is short, but I sent a PM earlier and don't have as much time to retype it all at the moment) in saying that were too western. The former image was by Franco, an artist already removed from this site for drawing highly sexualised images of minors and highly western styled art that did not suit the atmosphere of the site. The latter uploaded image was much the same, while interesting it doesn't suit the eastern nature, eastern atmosphere and oriental style of just about everything else on the front page.
The Sumeran image was interesting though, if the historical is your thing I suggest the
