You're really bad at choosing the "Communal Gallery" when uploading images :-p . The way you've been posting though you should have your own gallery pretty soon.

When you are uploading a new image, the very first field to be filled in is "Choose a category to upload your images to.". You need to make sure its set to "Communal Gallery". It's the very first option in the dropdown box.

It should always be set to "Communal Gallery" by default, unless you are clicking the "Upload Photos" button when viewing another person's gallery.

The other artists knew it wasn't their images. They were politely teasing you for accidentally putting the image in their gallery.
