Want to get rid of the annoying adverts? The answer is simple. There are 4 levels of advertising on AnimeOTK:
Level 1: (Your Level, guests and members with 0-9 posts) has maximum advertising. Level 2: (A user with 10 or more posts who has been a member over two weeks) have vastly reduced advertising (including removal of the large full screen closable adverts) Level 3: (A member who has been registered over a month and has over 50 posts, or has a special account like "artist" or "writer" sees minimal advertising. Level 4: (VIP Donators) receive no advertising.
All donators of $10 or more will never see an advert on our site again!
AI doesn't often reply to PMs and I can confirm that the commissions section is not just for residents but by common practice is for those who donate a certain percentage of revenue to the site.
I would suggest a full-page ad not unlike Pastel, Loba or VulcanSpock has posted - ensuring of course it contains original art content and isn't just text and old footage - as a way of generating interest. Check their galleries for examples~
Only one though, until you are a resident artist. We allow residents to post full-page adverts fairly without restriction but communal they need to have art content.
Besides, the art ads seem to get more attention than threads.

The option isn't available automatically for most usergroups (certainly not the basic one) I'm afraid, so if you drop a PM to Stoner - copy me in, if you like - and he'll process it very quickly, if not same day.
