Just then, downstairs, the telephone rang. Bernard told both girls to stay in the study, in their corners, as he headed downstairs to answer it.

"Who would be calling this late?" Marilyn asked softly.

A few minutes later, they got their answer, when their guardian returned, looking more furious than ever before. "Were either of you two very naughty girls planning on telling me that you were meeting a boy at a speak-easy?"

What?! How did he find out - Jonathan. That boy was nice and all, but he was not at all bright in the slightest. After all, what person says to the guardian that he was waiting for them at the speakeasy?

"Um...." was all Marilyn said. Wrong answer apparently.

"Sadie, stay in your corner." Bernard said sternly, going over to his desk and sitting down in his hard-backed chair behind it. "Marilyn, get your naughty bottom over here. Right now."

Unhappily, Marilyn slowly shuffled over to hers and Sadie's guardian. She never liked getting spanked before Sadie, but she knew he did it so Sadie would know that her own consequences could also cause others to be naughty too - especially when as easily swayed as her 'sister'.

Sadie sighed as she heard Marilyn walk over to Bernard's side. She hated hearing Marilyn cry out in pain...But for now she'd just have to bear it.

Bernard pulled out a heavy wooden hairbrush from his desk that he reserved for them when they had been extra naughty. He set it on his desk so Marilyn would know what was coming. He pushed himself back from the desk a bit so there was room for Marilyn. "Over my lap right now, young lady. And I want no arguing, or there will be extra strokes, do you understand?"

Marilyn let out a small whimper at the thick hairbrush - it stung like the dickens! - but she nodded obediently and murmured, "Yes, sir," before lowering herself over his knee.

For Marilyn, the position was really awkward, as their guardian was very tall and muscular, and she was littler than Sadie (who fit over his lap surprisingly well) and could barely reach the floor with both her hands in feet if she pressed her tip-toes to the ground.

"I want you explain to me why you're being punished, Marilyn," he said as he lifted up her dress to expose her high-waisted panties. He knew that she was a good girl despite her naughtiness, but her spanking was very well deserved, and he wanted her to acknowledge her wrong doing before she was crying and he wouldn't be able to understand her.

Marilyn sniffled a little before answering, "We... We s-snuck out and... and we t-talked in the c-corner after y-you said no... and w-we lied...."

Bernard gave a nod of approval, even though she couldn't see it. There was no sense in delaying punishment any longer. This particularly hit a nerve with Marilyn, who wasn't as studious as Sadie. Sadie was smarter, and things were easier for her to learn. Marilyn: not so much. She could study twice as hard, and she wouldn't remember as much.

Marilyn easily fell into tears under his scolding and harsh spanks, squirming uncomfortable.
