Oh, that marvelous, familiar sound! The TARDIS, with its parking breaks still on, of course. River beamed, seeing what her husband had done, and grabbed one of the treasures she'd swiped - a golden scepter from the alien planet's ancient crypt. "Hello, sweetie!" She called to him before running another Cybernan through with the scepter, making it spark and sputter.

(Yeah the new series did a poor job of explaining or even mentioning it.)

The doctor smile at his wife using his sonic screw driver to cause the cyber men to start acting up since they did not have the ability to counter it yet. "Run River." He said upset as his wife was careless, "we need to get out of here."

"No need to tell me twice," the archeologist teased him, not taking things seriously, as per usual.
So with her bag of goodies slung over her shoulder, she sprinted for the TARDIS.
Sure, she could use her vortex manipulator to escape instead, but it took a little bit to configure it. Plus, TARDIS travel was just cozy in comparison.

The doctor managed to help her and himself in he tardis before the cybermen could get the chance to break in, he quickly locked the door, "Okay River mind telling me what happened?" He asked his wife wanting some answer for the cybermen.

Thank goodness for the TARDIS. Nothing could break through those doors once they were closed and locked.
"Well, I'd heard of the golden pyramids of Xander V, but they were a lot less golden and a lot more steel. Disappointing, really," River sighed as she set down her bag.
"The Cybermen were certainly a surprise though."

He then looked at her, "River that was too dangerous, you know that cybermen are three of the aliens I do not want you to do deal with by yourself.". He said the other two were daleks and weeping angels since they were his worst threat.

"I didn't exactly plan for them to show up, love," River reminded him as she started to put her gun belt back in place.
"Besides, I carried on just fine before we were married." She wasn't one to apologize, really. Then again, neither was the Doctor. They were two peas in a pod, weren't they?

"Actually I been thinking you really need to find a way to do some research on the native life of the planet what if they did manage to convert you, you know how time travels imagine the damage they could do with that power." Doctor scolded her. (Should the doctor spanked her now?)

"The Vortex Manipulator has a safe mode a bit like a gun has a safety, Doctor," River informed him casually as she started to put the machine back on her wrist. "This isn't my first trip, you know. Though it's sweet that you're so concerned."
She turned back around to him then, pinching his cheek with a placating smile. He was so cute with this young face.

Sadly behind the young face was someone who have more than a thousand of years behind him, "we need to have a talk.". He said it might have a safety but that does not mean it is unfailable "It can be over rided.". He said taking his wife to a room with a chair.
