"I am too, yanno...now stop it or I'll make YOU do Roy's floors instead!" Mana tossed floor cleaner and rags onto the floor from a cabinet.

"And don't complain about me to Riza or she'll be doubly mad..." The assistant threw her coat down on the desk and began to scrub--no easy job since Hayate kept trying to steal the cleaning rag every time she sat it down.

Ed groaned and did the same; placing his coat on the couter and began scrubbing the floors. Al helped as well; for the most part, neither brother said anything.

"We're almost done...except for Roy's office. Don't touch anything or he'll get all bent outta shape and 'Oh, no, Riza! Mana cleaned up my pigpen! I won't be able to find anything!'" Mana snickered. "I think I can handle it myself, so don't go running off while I'm in there...please..."

"Sure..." Ed said. "You take care of Office de Jackass."

"Ed..." Al said.

"What?" he said. "He treats us both like crap!"

Al sighed again. "We'll be here Mana, promise."

"Thanks, Al..." Mana couldn't resist a little laugh at Ed's snip on Roy. It was true--he was always nagging her to go and buy more paper, more coffee, more whatever, and doing the white glove test after she had cleaned every last thing.

She closed the office door and surveyed the mess that had been left from the Colonel's packing. "Hoo boy...I was right in calling it the pigpen..."

Ed waited impaitently, for about 5 minuest. Then, he got up from the wall he was leaning on and began to leave.

"Ed!" Al called. "Where are you...?"

"Relax!" Ed said, smiling. "I'm just going to the bathroom."

"You better come right back, brother..." he said.

"Yeah, yeah..." Ed said, waving him off like he did Mana earlier.

Mana grumbled silently to herself and tried to leave as much of the mess intact as possible. Sure, Riza wouldn't like it, but it was the only way Roy could find anything, or so he said.

Eww! I don't even wanna know what that green thing is... Some days, it just didn't pay to be a military assistant!!

Al waited for Ed to return, but had a feeling he left to go about the town. He sighed.

"Why do you do this brother....?" he asked no one in particular.

Mana finished the cleaning and came out of the office. "I REALLY don't want to go back in there...Where's Ed, Al?" She shook her head. "I suppose he went off by himself somewhere...right? He is in trouble when he gets back..."

Al sighed. "He said he was just going to the bathroom..." he told her. "But he probably went out into the town. I think he's still mad that Colonol Mustang denied him a vacation..."
