Alex just stood there. Why the hell would he tell the prince to harm him?? He went over to the bed and sat down though, not taking his hand and making sure to get a little space between them.

(did you want Alex to like him from the beginning or do you want it to develop into something?)

(Maybe crush on him, then begin trusting him.)

"That's better... Believe me, I hate it when masters mistreat their servants. Just seeing you being manhandled by that guard made my blood boil..."

(Okay;) Do you mind Alex being slightly difficult in the beginning?)

Alex looked away, chewing on his bottom lip. He did seem like he meant what he said, but he wasn't sure if he believed him.

(Sure.)

The prince sighed, gently placing a hand on Alex's.

Alex turned to look at his hand when he felt a bigger one on top of his, and then he looked up at the prince, slightly confused.

The prince smiled softly at him. It was warm, caring.
"I know it's a lot to handle. But please, if you trust me... I'm certain we'll become good friends... Maybe more if you'll let me. Bur only if you let me."

Alex couldn't help blushing at this, but then he pulled his hand away. "I'm not supposed to be your friend, I'm supposed to be your servant" He said simply, looking away again.

"So? I say I want my servant'sduty to be my friend." he said, gingerly hugging him.

Alex did pull away this time, standing up. "So I can leave then? You wouldn't force a friend to stay with you"

The prince sighed, looking at the ground sadly.
"You don't like me at all, do you?" he asked sadly.
