He clearly wasn't in the mood for what he considered excuses and empty pleas: in his mind, she was guilty, so it was a punishment well-deserved. He swished the ruler ominously through the air a few times, paused, then gave another solid smack, slamming the ruler against her rear.

At least this time he showed some variety: rather than just landing thirty smacks all to one inch-high stripe, he varied them about. He was quick, too, not drawing it out. About one smack per second, until her buttocks were very much glowing red.

"Right. Now hand your homework over, and you can sit down for the test."

Jade kept silent after the first blow, tensing up as he swished his wooden horrible ruler through the air a few times. Then he hit her. And again. And again, quickly. Jade kept count inside her head, she couldn't help it, even as little yelps and groans escaped her lips, and as tears escaped her eyes. She fussed much less than during the hand spanking, because being smaked by a ruler was more dignified in her head.
It was ended after half a minute of white-hot pain.
She stood up as soon as she could.

"Right. Now hand your homework over, and you can sit down for the test."

"Sit down?" she scoffed inside her head, chuckling through her tears, although the sound could be mistaken for a random sob. Scarborough had some sense of humour.

She crouched in front of her bag, next to the desk, her skirt safely covering her bottom once more, and started rummaging through the odd papers filling her bag.
After a few seconds of this she felt her blood coil inside her veins. It couldn't be. No. No no no no no. She kneeled and searched more forcefully, pushing things aside, finally emptying her bag on the platform and looking at every single paper individually. The homework wasn't there.

She looked up at the teacher, her eyes wide and face red.

"Sir, I know you think I'm acting like a truant today, but I swear to you, I did my homework! It's at home! I just forgot to take the paper but I did it I swear!"

Her blood was pumping in her ears. She had kept her dignity well enough, but she didn't think she'd do as well if she were to be spanked again so shortly.

The teacher's expression said it all. It was clear that he didn't believe her, and given how things had gone so far, he had no reason to do so. He frowned, nothing more, and quietly stated his reply.

"Young lady, there is no way I could possibly believe what you say. Even were that true, it is still a punishable offence, but in the situation I think you are lying. Perhaps you should have aimed to be later."

He paused, fingers tapping on his desk.

"I won't further eat into your time, but you will see me after school for the strap. Now, I suggest you hurry on and try to complete the test."

Still kneeling and trembling, Jade looked up to the man.

"But sir I'm not lying! I... I've never lied at school! Why would I lie to you! Why do you have such a bad opinion of me suddenly! I don't understand! I understand if you punish me for forgetting it..."

A strangled sound escaped her throat as she tried to make the words come out of her mouth straight.

"... but the strap?????" she whispered hoarsely.

Mr Scarborough frowned, clearly unimpressed. He was not in the mood for argument, and responded by lifting the back of her skirt up and giving each buttock three firm smacks.

"Consider your track record with remembering to do your homework so far. Now, we can discuss this after school, but for now, the test."

Jade jumped forward as he re-ignited the fire in her backside. She was deeply hurt by such injustice, but she swallowed her words and tears, breathed deeply, crammed her things into her bag and went to her desk to take the test.

"Okay. Okay," she said to herself. "Just empty your mind and do it as methodically and fast as possible."

So she picked up her pen and started calculating. It wasn't difficult for her, she had understood this easily. She did nothing wrong. The thing was, would she be able to complete half the test before the time limit?

She was good, of course - it had to be said that Jade knew the stuff, however she just didn't have enough time: when the siren sounded, she had completed little more than a third of the questions.

"So... an admirable effort, all considered, but just not enough."

Mr. Scarborough looked displeased as usual.

"At lunch time, you will meet me here for detention. This will involve another spanking of course... however I will also allow you to finish the remainder of the test during this time. Your grades need not suffer at least. Hurry on to your next class, now."

She looked up at him with angry, hurt eyes as he said her effort "wasn't enough". Well, if he'd spanked her after she took the test... But anyway.

"I'm sorry I failed at an impossible task."

She stood up.

"Thank you for letting me finish the test anyhow. Can I finish it before you spank me? If you really use the ... strap... I... I might not be able to... regain my composure fast enough?"

He nodded.

"Yes, that seems acceptable to me. Looking at what you've done so far, I have no idea why you would have tried to avoid the test in the first place - you could have aced it from the start and avoided all this."

He sighed, and shook his head.

"Anyway, best you be off to your next class, unless you want to be late for that as well."

She looked at him as straight as she could manage, and softly said:

"I wasn't trying to avoid the test sir. I just didn't wake up, as I said previously. I'll put my homework in your locker first thing tomorrow morning. Good day."

She exited the class, quite bothered by what had just happened, very concious of her nude bottom under her skirt, and hurried along to her next class.
