"Why do you want to keep me contained?" Korri said bitterly "You barely do anything with me anymore, and whenever I go off on my own to do something, you act like I shouldn't"

"I don't want to keep you contained...It's just dangerous out here and I've been busy....But if that's what made you feel like that I'll take tomorrow off and spend the day with you."

He stated, he seriously felt horrible that he made his daughter feel like that

"I've been out here many times" Korri said "And I've never seen anything dangerous. You overreact just to try and keep me from doing fun things"

She rubbed her eyes to get rid of a few tears, then huddled close as he mentioned held try to have more time with her

"No sweetheart, I have seen wolves and bear out this way. I am only trying to keep you safe." he stated, putting an arm around her

"But how can that be? I've never seen any" Korri said

"I come out here a lot more to check the boarders...I see more than you but you want me to prove it? I'll wake you tomorrow morning."

Korri still felt unsure about that. She only continued to huddled cllose

"Only for a morning ride. But you'll have to stay close." he assured, sensing her unease.

He put an arm around her, drawing her closer.
"I'm sorry if it seems like I'm just being a jerk."

"I just couldn't help but think you've been avoiding doing things with me like you used to" Korri said sadly

"I'm not avoiding you. I've just been busy since it's my job to try to help a lot of people. There's a drought and many people in the smaller towns need to be able to feed their families." he tried to explain.
