Tears were rolling down Amir's face as the switch continued to land on his trembling behind, leaving stripes in their wake. The hand spanking had hurt, left his behind tender, but each stroke of the cane made him yelp and cry pitifully. He couldn't just grit his teeth and pretend to be unaffected. They reduced him to a state similar to a sorry child.
As the punishment went on, the youth could not find the words to repeat the line that she'd ordered him to at the beginning of it.

"Y-Yes mother!" He cried out. His stubbornness and bratty nature temporarily diminished in response to the harsh punishment.

He was feeling quite sorry for himself now. Internally bemoaning how harsh his mother was being for only a few pieces of gold from the pockets of people who probably had plenty of their own. He didn't dare say that out loud though.

When the boy finally started to cry for real, his cheeks wet of tears, his mother felt that maybe the lesson had been learned, for once in his life.
At least, until his bottom would have been red and sore.
So, as Said didn't seemed able to keep repeating the sentence she had told him to say, Jazeera slowly stopped, until she lowered the switch for the last time, letting it fall to the ground.

The woman gave him one last smack with her bare hand, then she pulled up his pant, covering his aching backside, before helping him to stand once more on his feet.
-There, there...we're done.- she told him, now with a more soft voice, the same voice that had told him many bedtime tales during the years and the same voice that had sang for him when he was just a little child pulling her skirt -Now give me a hug and tell me that you're sorry.- she invited him, widening her arms to embrace him, like always.
Despite his age, she knew that he would look for some comfort, after a punishment.
After all, he was still being her little boy and she was still being his mama, no matter what.

-Why do you always have to keep me worried, Said?- she then asked, with a sigh -I just want you to become a proper man. What will happen when i will be too old to work? Who will look after me, if not you?-
