Lizzy nodded and followed Daddy into the house as he carried her suitcase in. She stood at the door unsure what to think.

The first room was made to be simple. the living room. "your room is on the third floor." Sam said simple.

Lizzy nodded and looked around quietly as they went in the house. It was very plain looking, very different from the house in which she had lived with her mother. It was all lizzy could think about, and she began to cry.

She made her way up the stairs, stopping and looking around each floor. When she reached her bedroom she sat on the bed and looked at the empty room. "Will my toys be here soon?" She asked hoping she'd have some familiar things soon.

When Lizzy started to Cry Sam just held her close. when she finally calmed down, and went up stairs to her new room then asked about her toys Sam nodded. kicking himself that he hadn't gotten her toys sooner."yeah hon. They should be here in a bit. Want to go see the horses next door?" Sam offered. it would give her something to think about

Lizzy felt better being held by daddy for the first time, she nodded and even smiled a little when she heard her toys would be arriving soon. Lizzys eyes grew big when daddy mentioned the horses next door. "Wow horses?! Real live horses?? I never saw a horse up close before!" Lizzy jumped down off her bed and tugged at Daddys hand, "let's go see them daddy!"

"yep. And the owners are really looking foreword to meeting you." Sam said. he'd picked this area because he'd grown up in a similar area. and most everyone knew everyone. the sang it took a village to raise a child came to mind in places like this.

Lizzy held Daddys hand and listened as daddy told her about the neighbors and their horses. As they walked across to the neighbors Lizzy spotted the horses , and forgot all about how sad she had been feeling, and let go of Daddys hand and began to run towards the horses.

Sam smiled as she ran over. "wait for me Lizzy." Sam said jogging slightly to keep up with her.

Lizzy didn't hear daddy tell her to wait with all her excitement to get to the horses, she started to run a little faster as they got closer. "Look daddy look!! I see them!" She said with excitement.

Sam smiled. glad she was feeling at least a little better. as they got closer two horses walked twords them. each poking there heads over the fence.
