"C'mon,I aimed at YOU,not at her!It's not my fault you dodged it!" Rodrigo protested,using classic kid logic!

Clair made Rodrigo look her right in the eye.

"Shush."

She sat down on the couch, hauled Rodrigo over his lap and pulled down his shorts, but not his underwear. Then she raised her hand.

This was why Clair was such a legend of a babysitter...anyone who crossed her got the soundest of spankings.

SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! SMACK!

"Owww,oww,owwie,ouch,leggo!" Rodrigo whined,trying to squirm.

SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! SMACK!

Clair gave Rodrigo just ten smacks before she stopped. She kept him over her lap, though.

"Rodrigo, for now, you will go to bed and we can find your sister in the morning when it's less dangerous. And besides that, your actions just now were completely unacceptable. Do you understand?"

"I took care of Carol since she was just a baby.My sister is counting on me to save her...." Rodrigo groaned."I don't care about my actions so long that I'm free to go...to go after her." Rodrigo sniffled.

That was why he attacked Clair....despite saying he's sure she's okay,he stilll worries for Carol,and feel responsable for her.Taking care of her since she was a baby probably helped fuel his overprotective nature to his sister,as well.

"Rodrigo, it's too dangerous right now," sighed Clair, giving his bottom another SMACK! "and besides, there is still the matter of your behaviour. You don't throw things at other people."

She pulled up his shorts.

"You can go and look for her in the morning, but right now, it's much too late, and it'll be dangerous. I'd never let Iris or any of my charges out that late."

Rodrigo just sniffled and looked down sadly.

Clair then put Rodrigo down.

"What I gave you was just a warm-up. I want you to head upstairs and get ready for bed, no arguing. I'll be up in five minutes to finish your bedtime spanking...and I expect you to be in your pajamas. If I have to change you myself, you'll only make it worse for yourself."

"R-Rodrigo, you better listen to Aunt Clair. She means it," Iris sniffled.

"Not fair..." Rodrigo whined as he went upstairs.

Clair gave a small sigh. Then she turned to Iris. "Are you OK, sweetheart?" she asked.

"I think so," said Iris, "It...sorta just stings now."

"Well, that's a relief."

"We are going to look for Rodrigo's sister, aren't we?"

"Of course we are. But it's too dangerous for him to go wandering out on his own when it's about to get dark. I know you're both worried, but it'll be safer when it's lighter."

Iris sighed and nodded in reluctant acknowledgement.
