The girl rolled her eyes at that and ignored him before grumbling again. “You don’t have to go with me, you aren’t my dad you know. I can go by myself, just tell me how far I have to walk. I’m used to walking by myself, I’ll be fine. Remember you weren't here for any part of my life so you don’t have to protect me.”

"Maybe not. Even though it is quite dangerous around here. But I have to check you don´t run off. I am still trying to reform you, remember?", he told her seriously, "Fuck, they should have put a tracker on you or something. That would have made things A LOT easier."

“I guess so, but you even if I did run off it wouldn’t matter, would probably make your job easier if I was caught again anyway,” Kairi said as she headed towards the door. “And no they shouldn’t have put a tracker on me, I’m not a fucking criminal, I just like electronics. Speaking of where’s this family computer you were talking about? I can find how far my apartment is with that.”

"You are an ex-criminal. I caught you hacking remember?", he reminded her and rubbed his temples. God, this girl was annoying! Maybe he shouldn´t have taken the job anyway. Right now he was just waiting for any excuse to wear her ass out. Maybe that would teach her not to be so rude and smart alecky. "Yeah, if they put a tracker on you you would have probably just disarmed it with your electronic skills. Anyway, the computer is in my daughters room, since she is using it most of the time. I´ll show you the way.", he said and then lead her into his daughters room. "Watcha doing in my room?", Carla asked, just curious not unfriendly and got of the couch. This new "sister" of hers was interesting. She liked her outfit and pink hair. It just screamed bad attitude and punk, but in a good way if you would ask her.

“People hack all the time in other things but they aren’t criminals,” Kairi responded with a shrug of her shoulders. She would take a look around as she followed him through the house and to the other room. When they stepped into his daughter’s room she would once again greet her with a peace sign. “Looking for..oh there it is,” she said as she spotted the computer and headed over to it. “I’m borrowing this for twelve minutes.” After taking a seat in front of the computer Kairi turned back to Bill. “You, you can leave now. I’ve got the computer so I don’t you anymore,” she then pointed to Carla. “You can stay though since it’s your room.”

"Well, I am pretty sure hacking is still a crime. Hell, I know it is, I am a cop and I regulary arrest hackers.", Bill said annoyed. When the girl told him to go he actually went away without a comment, okay with giving the girls some time to themselves. Carla looked over Kairis shoulder. "Sooo, what are you doing?", she asked smiling,"Hey, I am Carla by the way. You are going to stay with us for a long time, so we should get to know each other a little."

Kairi was glad when he left and turned back to the computer. When Carla looked over her shoulder she would jump a little out of surprise. “Currently getting asked questions by a girl I’ve never met before,” she answered dryly but did offer her name. “I’m Kairi. I’m trying to figure out how far my old house is from here. And probably gonna see if a friend of mine wants to say goodbye to me.” Well she was doing that but she was also gonna try and figure out how to hack into the house. It didn’t appear to be a smart home like most of the others were, but she figured she could still turn off the lights or turn up the heat in one part of the room, just little things to annoy the police officer while she was here.”

"Ah okay. Well, feel free to use my computer when you need it. I usually prefer watching trideo rather than playing around with the old model.", Carla said and backed up after she had surprised Kairi so much with trying to look over her shoulder. "Just don´t do anything stupid with my computer. Dad is a pretty relaxed guy, but he spanks hard if I remember my last session correctly. Its been a while thankfully. Just a friendly warning.", Carla said and rubbed her sweatpants covered tush a little with one hand, emphasizing her words.
