A Step Too Far

“Well Crevan you've finally gone too far,” the policeman said as he lead the handcuffed eleven year old toward the facility that was going to serve as his home for the foreseeable future. He was familiar with the kid because of the various stunts that he had pulled and now he had finally taken it a step too far and was headed for an undetermined stay in the juvenile detention facility. A real shame as far as the officer was concerned since he didn't think that the kid was really as bad as he tried to convince people he was.

A frown graced the lips of the boy in question, eleven year old Crevan Faolan. Dressed for the moment in a pair of jeans and a blue hoodie the boy was no doubt in for an outfit change once he was processed but he didn't really care. Small for his age he more closely resembled a nine year old but he had more than enough attitude for any teenager, the kid scoffing in response to what the police officer had to say. “Like this is going to be any different from those stupid foster homes they stuck me in,” the boy said scathingly, giving the man a glaring look as he was lead inside.

That caused the police officer to sigh but there was really nothing that he could do for the kid so he just signed him in and then waited for the one that was going to take him to his new accommodations. After signing the paperwork he handed over the backpack that contained the kid's worldly possessions, which were just a change of clothes and a stuffed fox that he didn't even like for people to know that he had. The man didn't say anything about that however and instead just quietly checked in the boy's stuff and then stood back and waited, his hand gripping the kid's upper arm to keep him in check even though Crevan was currently handcuffed and unlikely to really try to escape.

Crevan just gazed around through slightly narrowed blue eyes, taking everything in and trying to figure out first and foremost how he could get out of this situation. True he acted as though he didn't care but that was far from the truth, it was all just a shield to keep everyone out and to protect himself from getting hurt again. He'd suffered enough of that at the hands of his father, he refused to open himself up to more from people that he didn't even know and was convinced had no reason whatsoever to care. That refusal was at least part of the reason for his current predicament, the boy having repeatedly ran away from the foster homes that he was placed in and even a group home that his social worker had thought he might behave better in. It was all the same to Crevan and he didn't want to be there, a fact that he made abundantly clear to pretty much everyone that he came into contact with.

"I've said it once, and I'll say it again-"

"Once? You're kidding right? You say it daily."

"Fine, but I still don't think this is right. I mean if someone just opened up their hearts to these kids, there'd be no use for these prisons-"

"Detention centers." The other man corrected, shaking his head. "You wanna make the kids feel like real criminals?" He walked side by side with the taller man and clicked his tongue. "No matter how much you hate how this is, you can't really change it. Just hold your tongue, you can leave at the end of the day."

"Yeah right, all I think about are these kids, and they deserve better Kev..." The man had always worn his heart on his sleeve. He'd been in foster care as a child, he knew what it was like to feel like you had been given up on. Every kid just needed someone to understand them. Roy Kellis had worked at the same place for about four years now. He just wanted to help kids, even though he could be a little old fashioned in his methods of dealing with behavior at times. He said goodbye to his colleague and then walked along down to the main office where he was met by a police officer with a firm grasp on who he knew to be Crevan Faolan.

"Hello Crevan." He said softly but with an air of authority, he knew it was important for the kids to know who was in charge. "Thanks officer, but I'll take things from here." he said with a friendly smile, shaking the officer's free hand and then he lead Crevan through the double doors down the hall. He figured taking the boy to his room was going to be the best thing to do right now. "I'm Roy." he informed, walking the young man along down to the room, and pausing when they got there. "Do you know how things are going to work here?"

CleverFox March 2nd, 2014 03:35 PM

Hearing the sound of a door being opened Crevan turned his head in that direction and he scowled when he saw the man that was walking toward them. When he offered up his greeting the boy just snorted and rolled his eyes, thinking that was a bit stupid. "Don't bother with the fake greetings, we all know how this is going to be," he said, once again going back to showing the attitude that the police officer that was with him was already very familiar with.

The man shook his head as he said, "Don't try to pick a fight Crevan, you'll lose." He then turned his gaze to the other man when he said that he would take things from there, the cop nodding his head as he produced a small key and removed the handcuffs that Crevan was wearing. "Best of luck kid, hope things get better for you," he said as he moved to leave, knowing that even uncuffed there was really nowhere for the boy to go. He was sincere with his words, he really did hope that things got better for the kid, what with the abuse that he had suffered at the hands of his biological father and then the subsequent foster care, all of which was in his file, he'd had a rough start in life.

Crevan looked at the officer as he spike and once again just rolled his eyes, following the new guy as he was lead trough the double doors and down a hallway. Already the kid was looking around and trying to figure out just how he was going to get out of this place, the wheels in his head turning and he knew that there had to be a way, there was no such thing as a place that was escape proof after all.

"Don't care," he said when the man told him his name, Crevan looking at him finally when they stopped and he was asked if he knew how things were going to work. "I assumed I'd be locked up and that would be the end of it," was the response that the chestnut haired boy gave to that question, Crevan staring up at the man through intelligent blue eyes that were laced with anger.

KingCrowley March 2nd, 2014 03:45 PM

Roy almost chuckled when Crevan snorted that he didn't care, he got that response quite a bit. "I didn't think you would." he answered, voice hard. He knew he was meant to keep a stern, poker face with the kids, but he couldn't help caring about them, and wanting them to really help themselves. He knew that the only real threat of being in Juvie were the other kids, they would be rough on the new boy, and it was likely Crevan was going to receive some harm at their hands. He found it sick how some of the handlers actually encouraged the behavior, even put bets on who was going to win.

But he wasn't like that, he was going to keep an eye on Crevan and ensure that he didn't receive any proper harm, he could see by the anger in his blue eyes that he just was a little lost and had pretty much given up on caring whether or not he had a good future and a good life. He unlocked the handcuffs from around Crevan's wrists and then pushed him slightly toward the room as he opened it. There were three other boys in there who looked pretty mean.

"Yep, that's pretty much how it's going to be. You step out of line and I'll be right there to make sure you get back behind it. This is a punishment and you're just going to have to deal." Roy explained, handing the kid his stuff, and he rose a brow at the stuffed fox, but said nothing. "Lunch will be in an hour, you're to follow the other kids down to the hall at that time. If not, then you'll just go hungry."

CleverFox March 2nd, 2014 03:50 PM

The hard tone to the man's voice just didn't phase Crevan, he'd heard much worse in his life and so he just shrugged his shoulders, following along where he was lead but that was only because he didn't have a choice. But Crevan was a smart boy, genius level IQ even, and he had every intention of finding a way out of this place, he just wasn't stupid enough to advertise that fact to the people whose job it was to prevent such things from happening.

When they reached the room and he was asked if he knew how things were going to work Crevan gave his reply and then once again snorted when he heard what the man had to say. "You say that like you think I should give a damn," he said, shaking his head slightly and taking his bag from the man, surprised that he was actually allowed to keep it since he would have thought that it would have been kept in storage until he was released as was typically the case. He didn't bother to question that and instead just stepped inside, not even bothering to look in the direction of the other boys and instead just making his way over to a corner of the room where he sat down and pulled his knees up to his chest.

He wasn't scared, at least not of the other boys, so he wasn't paying attention to them or even really acknowledging the fact that they existed at all. Instead he just retreated across the room and as far away from everyone as he could get so that he could attempt to retreat into his own mind and escape this place in the only way that he was currently able to.

KingCrowley March 2nd, 2014 04:00 PM

(( ah sorry, I don't know much about juvie, had to read up some stuff ^^ bear with...))

Maybe it wasn't a good move on Roy's part to let the kid have his belongings, but then again it was only clothes and a little stuffed fox, so there wouldn't really be any harm in letting the kid have them. He might want to take the stuffed fox apart, since some kids had smuggled knives and lighters in, tucked away in stuffed animals...the kids were pretty smart. But he decided against it for now. If Crevan showed signs of suspicion then he'd probably go ahead with searching it. He shook his head at the response to what Crevan said, and watched him head over to the corner of the room where he pulled his knees up to his chest and seemed to take the situation on with a stoic demeanor.

He sighed and closed the door, leaving Crevan to it. Roy headed down to the main office where he gathered up Crevan's details, medical records and other things. Then he headed to his office and decided to go over some paperwork until lunch time where he knew he would be needed to supervise the kids. He wasn't exactly sure what Crevan had done to get himself in the center, but he didn't seem like the other kids, he didn't seem so badass.

He glanced up at the clock every ten or so minutes, a little worried about how the other kids were going to treat Crevan. He worried about every new kid, it was a difficult adjustment after all.

CleverFox March 2nd, 2014 04:11 PM

((it's fine, tis our world anyway, we can make it how we want it, Crev was just confused...apparently he's experienced XD))

Crevan wasn't particularly happy right now but the fact that he was allowed to keep his things actually did help a degree even if there was no way that he was going to be taking the stuffed fox out of the bag. He knew that he'd catch hell over that and it was his most prized possession, having belonged to the mother that he'd never gotten the chance to know, so he would be crushed if anything happened to it.

The boy wasn't thinking about that as he made his way over to the corner and sat down, content to not bother anyone. Unfortunately he was small in stature, around the size of an average eight year old, so he practically screamed out target. As such it wasn't long before one of the other boys came over to him, the redhead leering down at the brunette with a look of obvious dislike.

"What did you do to land yourself here runt? Refuse to go to bed...wet the bed?" Ian asked in a taunting voice, making fun of the boy and generally trying to pick a fight.

Crevan was actually there for repeatedly running away as well as trespassing and a few minor cases of vandalism, involving spray paint and the like. Just the usual things that kids got into when they weren't being supervised properly and since his fosters could care less the boy was rarely supervised. Crevan didn't offer up any of that information and instead he just gazed at the boy and said, "Back off."

Which Ian took as an open invitation, grabbing the brat by the collar of his shirt and pulling him to his feet. "Think you're tough huh? How bout I show ya how tough I am?" asks in a menacing voice before kneeling the much smaller boy in the stomach, taking his breath and effectively making it impossible for him to call for help.

KingCrowley March 2nd, 2014 04:18 PM

(( haha awww naughty Crev, and omg dude, poor baby! DX ))

Roy glanced up at the clock once more when he saw it was half past. He drummed his fingers on his desk and sighed heavily. Something was telling him that he was going to need to head back to that room, he needed an excuse to head back though, or else Crevan was going to think he was getting special attention and that would not bode well with the other boys in the center. Eventually the man decided he was going to go and speak to one of the other boys and casually check in on Crevan while he did.

The man got to his feet and headed back to the room, he reached out for the handle and paused, frowning when he heard a bit of a ruckus. Immediately he swung open the door in time to see Ian knee poor Crevan in the stomach. The kid was in for it now. "What the hell Ian!" he snapped at him, striding over and giving his backside two harsh smacks with a slipper kept at the bed side. "Enough!" he roared and then looked over Crevan, seeing he was left breathless.

"Crevan." he sighed and took the boy by the arm, leading him down to the medical room which was locked at all times.

CleverFox March 2nd, 2014 04:42 PM

((I know, I'm awful to him))

All Crevan wanted to do was mind his own business and sit in the corner that he had placed himself in but it seemed that the fact that he was the new boy coupled together with the fact that he was small for his age made him a target. The kid tried to dissuade the bully by telling him to go away but all that did was get the guy to grab his collar and pull him up, issuing his threats and then kneeing him in the stomach.

Sucking in a sharp breath Crevan coughed and tried to speak but he couldn't manage to catch enough breath to do that. He was surprised when the door opened and the man from before, Roy he thought his name was, came in and broke up the fight. He was even more surprised by teh way that the slipper was used, the boy blinking and then looking at Roy as the man came over to him and took him by the arm.

It took him a few minutes to regain his breath but once he did he gave the man a look as he said, "It wasn't my fault...I was minding my own damn business." He felt the need to say that since it seemed as though the man blamed him for what had happened and that annoyed Crevan.

He wasn't much happier about being taken to the infirmary and he shook his head slightly once he realized where it was that they were going. "I'm fine, I don't need to be here," he said, trying to turn around and walk the other way.

KingCrowley March 2nd, 2014 04:55 PM

(( aww you are xD ))

"I know it wasn't your fault, but you need to make sure you let the other kids know that you're not prey, or else you're not gonna survive in this place." Roy answered, turning the kid back around when he decided to walk off, and he lead him through to the infirmary, making sure that he hadn't sustained any true damage to the bones or anything. He had a feeling that he was going to be beat up on the daily until the kid decided to let everyone know that he wasn't someone to mess with. But his small size and inexperience in the place wasn't to his advantage.

He sat him down on one of the examination beds and waited for the Center's Doctor to look him over, he was given the all clear thankfully and so Roy felt relieved. "Thanks Doc." he said and then looked at Crevan, "Come on, I'll take you down to the hall, it's time for lunch anyway." he explained, motioning for the boy to follow him, since he could walk around freely without escaping the detention center. He wondered if Crevan had thought anything about the way he'd wielded the slipper earlier.

CleverFox March 2nd, 2014 05:01 PM

"Oh yea, encourage us to fight like animals, that's some way to rehabilitate people," Crevan said in a scathing tone when he was told that he needed to show the others that he wasn't prey. The boy had spent the majority of his life being beaten on an almost daily basis and so it wasn't as though this was anything new to him and despite his treatment he had developed a very passive personality.

His fight or flight response leaned heavily toward flight, he would always run if given the chance.

The boy continued to protest as he was lead along to the infirmary and he struggled when Roy prevented him from turning and walking the other way. "Let go of me!" he snapped, trying his best to get away but his best wasn't good enough and he found himself seated on one of the beds, a scowl on his face. Crevan fought against the doctor as much as he could but that didn't work out so well for him either and in the end he was given the all clear.

When his handler told him to come and that it was time for lunch Crevan just gave a dismissive wave of his hand as he replied, "Not interested."

He was skinny as a rail and didn't eat much so as far as he was concerned they could keep their nasty jail food, he wasn't interested. A fact that he made abundantly clear to Roy before he once again turned to walk in the opposite direction, this time around opting to dart off after a few steps.

KingCrowley March 2nd, 2014 05:08 PM

Roy ignored all of Crevan's protests, he was used to all of them from the other kids, and he didn't offer a response when Crevan thought he was being clever as he said about encouraging them to fight. He knew that he didn't do that, and he didn't need to prove it to the kid either. He was close to standing the boy up and giving him a few good smacks to cooperate with the Doctor, but decided to save him some embarrassment in light of what had happened. He rolled his eyes when the kid said he wasn't interested when he mentioned getting lunch. Despite whether the kid wanted it, he was going to have to get it. "Too bad." he answered, taking him by the shoulder and marching him down to the hall where all the kids gathered to get their food.

When the kid actually managed to dart off and away, Roy felt himself groan. He wasn't going to go chasing after the kid, as long as he was in the center, then he was not going to give the kid chase. He had a bad attitude and a mouth on him, and Roy was so tempted to take the lad over his knee, but he felt like it wasn't time for that yet.

With a shake of his head, he continued down to the mess hall to supervise the rest of the kids.

CleverFox March 2nd, 2014 06:04 PM

Crevan had a great aversion to anyone having to do with the medical field and so he fought with the doctor the entire time, making it clear that he was not happy with what was going on. Not that there was really any doubt to that given the way that he was scowling. The doctor managed to finish his exam despite the boy's struggles and Crevan was given the all clear, the boy muttering a few obscenities in Gaelic as he walked out of the room and then he declined when Roy mentioned lunch.

He once again turned to leave but after taking a few steps darted off, this time having no intentions of being redirected.

Crevan didn't really even know where he was going and he ended up down in the laundry room, which seemed like as good a place as any to hide. The kid ended up crouching down and leaning against the wall, catching his breath and figuring out what his next move was going to be. He still had no intentions of staying where he was but he knew that he was going to have to plan it right if he was going to manage to actually get out.

KingCrowley March 2nd, 2014 06:21 PM

Escape from the center was very rare, security was tight, just as tight as any prison for adults. Roy didn't have much worry for the kid finding an escape since he didn't think it would happen. He did wonder where the boy was going to go however since he was likely to not know his way around. He looked over the boy's files briefly and clucked his tongue, at least the kid only had a four month sentence. He noticed the kid had been in foster care, but nothing that would do the child any good. He wondered what was going to happen when Crevan finally got out of the place...where was he going to go?

After grabbing a small bite to eat, Roy went off in search of the boy and as he passed the laundry room, he rose a brow when he saw the kid crouched in there. "C'mon, you can't hang about in here, you can go in the court and play some sports if you want." he stated, knowing not many boys would be outside at this time, since Crevan seemed to want to be alone.

CleverFox March 2nd, 2014 09:36 PM

The laundry room seemed like it was a peaceful enough place, at least for the moment, and Crevan was content to remain there, his thoughts wandering to a different place. He didn't so much as stir until he heard footsteps and then a voice telling him to come on and adding that he couldn't hang out in here. The bit about going outside got a shake of the head from the boy since he had absolutely no desire to do that.

"Leave me alone," Crevan said, not moving from his spot nor even bothering to look at the guy. "I'm not bothering anyone"

As far as he was concerned there was absolutely no reason why he couldn't stay where he was since the door hadn't been locked and he wasn't breaking any rules, at least not as far as he was aware. And the whole sports thing was completely unappealing, he was about as nonathletic as it was humanly possible to be. So he just told the guy that he wasn't doing anything and then waved a hand dismissively in his direction.

"Go be useless somewhere else," he said as he waved his hand.

KingCrowley March 2nd, 2014 09:49 PM

"Look, boy." Roy said, thrusting a finger at him, his tone turning more harsh than what it had been. "Guess what? You don't get to decide where you go, you don't get to have the choice of doing as you're told. If I tell you that you can't be somewhere, then you high tail it." he informed, roughly hauling the boy up onto his feet by his shirt, of course being careful not to hurt him. "And who the heck do you think you are? Speaking to me like that?" he asked, a low growl becoming apparent in his tone. He wasn't about to put up with the boy's sass and back talk.

He dragged him out of the room and looked down at him, "If you're gonna speak to me like that, you can just go right back to your room, I'm not going to pussy foot around you, making sure you're happy or anything kid. I'll give you a chance to do something you might wanna do, if and when you decide to show me some respect." he lectured, jaw locked and eyes dark and hard.

"Now go." he ordered, releasing him.

CleverFox March 2nd, 2014 11:12 PM

Crevan didn't look the least bit intimidated when Roy started to speak to him with that harsh tone, he just gave him an unimpressed look as he was told how things were going to be. Or at least how the man thought that they were going to be. It wasn't until his handler reached out and grabbed him by the shirt that a slight look of fear appeared in his eyes, Crevan actually flinching as he was hauled to his feet and looking for all the world as though he was expecting the man to hit him at any moment.

"Don't know why you think you deserve any better treatment than anyone else," Crevan murmured when the man asked who he thought he was. "You earn respect...you don't just automatically get it."

He figured that if he was going to get smacked around anyway then he was damn sure going to earn it, the boy looking at Roy as he ordered him back to his room. "Oh yea...send me back there to get the holy hell beaten out of me again...that's great," Crevan said, giving the man a scathing look as he turned to walk away.

KingCrowley March 2nd, 2014 11:24 PM

"I don't expect better treatment than anyone else, what I do expect is a little bit of respect and for you to have the common sense not to make things worse for yourself." Roy answered, his patience was wearing thin now, there was only so much attitude he was going to take from the eleven year old. "Cut out the smart ass attitude." he warned, voice deadly serious as he looked the young boy right in the eyes. "You will respect me and any other handler here at the center, and maybe you'll get out early for good behavior. It's like you actually want to be here and throw your life away." he sighed.

"I'm not sending you back to your room to get beaten, all the other boys are at lunch, in case you've forgotten, and if they do come back then you're just gonna have to toughen up or just tell someone." Roy explained, trying to calm himself down. "Now do as you're told, or I swear I will drag you to that room by your ear and give you a good, decent smacking with that slipper, right across your arrogant backside."

CleverFox March 3rd, 2014 11:22 PM

Crevan sighed when the man said that he wanted respect, the boy thinking that the guy hadn't been listening to a word that he had said. "If you want respect, then earn it," he said bluntly, making it blatantly clear that he was not just going to respect anyone because it was ordered of him. That wasn't the way that it worked and Crevan wanted the man to realize that fact. Being told that he would respect the man and anyone else just gained a roll of the eyes from Crevan but he decided that if the guy was too thick to get it after he said it twice then he wasn't going to say it again.

He looked at the man when he argued that he wasn't sending him back to get beaten but then told him that he was going to have to toughen up, that getting a scathing look from the kid. "You're just like everyone else," he said in a scathing tone before he turned and walked away from the man, deciding that he'd had enough and if the guy wanted him to go and play victim for the others then that was exactly what he would do.

"Maybe they'll take it farther than he ever did," Crevan muttered as he walked back in the direction of his so called room.

KingCrowley March 4th, 2014 05:51 PM

Quite frankly, Roy didn't care how respect was gained from the kid, he believed every kid should respect their elders, but of course if Crevan wanted to try and survive the place on his own, then who was he to stop him? "Alright fine, do what you want so long as you abide by the rules. Why should I care how your life ends up when you clearly don't want the help or support?" he asked and waved the kid off before then turning on his heel and heading out to his office. He blew out a frustrated breath, maybe Crevan could fend for himself after all without his help.

He just wanted to make things easier for the kid, but what was the point when he didn't acknowledge it? He sat down and groaned deeply, he couldn't get the damned brat off of his mind.

CleverFox March 7th, 2014 12:10 PM

Crevan snorted at what the man had to say, the boy rolling his eyes as he muttered, "Like you actually want to offer anything like that...save that for someone who gives a damn." Walking somewhat slowly the kid made his way back to the room where he'd been before, walking inside and once again positioning himself in a corner with his back pressed against the corner where the two walls met. Sighing softly he pulled his knees up to his chest and rested his forehead on them, wrapping his arms around his legs and just sitting there.

"Just like everywhere else," he murmured softly, Crevan idly wondering where the bullies from before even were. Though he couldn't be bothered to care very much whether or not they came back, it wasn't as though he wasn't used to having the crap beaten out of him on a daily basis...the only thing that was changing here was who was doing the beating.

KingCrowley March 7th, 2014 01:02 PM

Roy continued to just sit around in his office, mind partially on work and partially on Crevan. He wanted the boy to have a better life, and a good upbringing, if only the stubborn little thing would allow him to help. And accept that he did care about him even though he would deny it to anyone else. He knew everyone else was still down at lunch and then they would be attending lessons which Crevan would have to do the next day. He sighed and tapped a pencil along his desk, thinking about what to do with the brat.

Obviously he was trying to act much older than he really was, and Roy didn't really appreciate the way he was going about it. Maybe...maybe if he grabbed him and gave him a good, private smacking to get some sense into him, maybe Crev would open up and accept that someone did care. After all when the smacking was done, he'd readily give the kid comfort.

CleverFox March 7th, 2014 01:36 PM

Crevan hadn't really been informed of how things worked in this place so he didn't know when he could expect his roommates to return but at this point he wasn't going to do anything to try to avoid them since that hadn't worked out so well for him either. So instead he just remained in the corner of the room, biding his time and trying to let his mind wander so that at least that part of himself would be away from this place.

As bad as this was it wasn't worse than what his home life had been before he was taken by social services but that didn't mean that it was pleasant or that he really had the emotional maturity to cope with it. Crevan was a brilliant kid, far smarter than most people, but he was emotionally and physically stunted because of the treatment that he had suffered at the hands of his father so his coping mechanisms were a bit skewed to say the least.

KingCrowley March 7th, 2014 10:01 PM

Crevan of course wasn't the first and probably wouldn't be the last kid to have been abused in their lifetime, Roy sighed, he didn't really know a lot about Crev's childhood other than he'd been in social services and foster care, which probably took a pretty tough tole on the kid. The fact that Crevan had been abused came up in the medical file and Roy began to re-think his plan about giving him a smacking since it might end up freaking the kid out and he didn't want to do that, so maybe he should just leave the kid to it.

He booted up his PC and began searching through the boy's files.

(( I doubt Roy would spank Crevan, knowing he'd been physically abused...since he would probably freak out, and I don't wanna have to deal with that part, RP wise ))

CleverFox March 7th, 2014 11:18 PM

The events of the day had actually served to wear the kid out and Crevan ended up dozing off while still sitting in the corner of the room, his head resting against his knees. Looking at the kid one would think that he was accustomed to sleeping in this position based on the fact that he didn't move nor did he fall over, which many probably would have done had they ended up falling asleep while still sitting up. It was probably not the ideal thing to do given his current location but Crevan often suffered bouts of insomnia and so eventually he had to catch up, or at least attempt to, and such was the case in this instance.

KingCrowley March 7th, 2014 11:33 PM

After spending another fifteen minutes deciding what he was going to do and then he got up and went to the child's room, intent on taking him back to his office and giving him a thorough spanking, not just to instill some respect into him, but to also show him that he was cared for in a deep, sort of way. He paused when he saw the kid asleep in such an uncomfortable position, and he almost smiled fondly when he saw how angelic he looked. He reached out and gently lifted Crevan before then carrying him down to his office, bridal style. He had a bed there where Crevan could sleep without the bullies ganging up on him.

He laid him down in the bed and covered him with a warm blanket before then going back to his desk to complete more paperwork, and keep an eye on the boy.

Usually Crevan was a light sleeper and would have woken when he was picked up but he hadn't slept in a few days so when he finally did give into sleep he was completely out of it. Because of that he was completely unaware of the fact that he was relocated, moved from the room where he had been ordered and taken to the office of the man that he'd been butting heads with since his arrival in this place.

It was almost an hour later before Crevan woke with a start, a gasp leaving the boy's lips as he sat up and gazed around.

"What the hell?!" he muttered as he looked around and realized that he was not in the last place that he remembered being, Crevan scrambling to his feet while at the same time trying to figure out just where he even was right now.

"Oh good you're awake." Roy said warmly as he looked over to the boy who was now currently stood up on his feet and looking all the world confused. "I moved you here so that the other boys wouldn't be able to beat on you while you slept, well that and also I needed you in my office because we have a matter of discipline to deal with." he added and walked casually over to the young boy before taking his arm. "You're gonna get a spanking kid, it's gonna hurt and it'll make you sore for a while, but other than that, it's over and done with quickly." he explained and sat down on the bed before then dragging Crevan, struggling or not, over his lap.

"I have done so much to try and help you kid, and I don't appreciate the attitude I'm getting in return." he scolded, raising his hand and delivering a sharp smack to the center of the child's bottom.

Crevan turned his gaze in the direction of the man when he heard him speaking, his blue eyes gaining a look of confusion when told why he had been moved though when the whole bit about discipline came up his eyes narrowed. The kid made a move to dodge away from Roy but he wasn't fast enough and ended up getting snagged, Crevan immediately starting to struggle.

"You have no right to do this!" the kid snapped as he found himself hauled over the man's lap, Crevan continuing to struggle though he issued a startled yelp when he felt the first sharp smack that landed. "Stop it!" he demanded angrily, trying to push himself up from the man's lap.

KingCrowley March 8th, 2014 12:24 PM

"I have every right to do this Crevan, this is how kids get punished here when they decide to be little brats." Roy answered, pinning down the kid hard over his knee, knowing he wouldn't be able to move out of his position. The kid needed taking down a peg or two and Roy intended on doing just that. "And you don't tell me to stop, this is over when I think you've learned a lesson." he informed and began smacking the boy's clothed backside in swift, sharp smacks. After about ten or so, he lowered the boys trousers and then lowered his boxers, baring his bottom quite slowly so that he could feel more of the embarrassment.

Once the child was bare bottomed, he started up the smacks again, striking both cheeks and then his under curves as well.

CleverFox March 8th, 2014 01:05 PM

Hearing the man say that he had every right to do this gained a growl from Crevan, the boy angrily shaking his head as he replied, "No you don't! Damn it this is assault!" His words were angry but even he knew that this wouldn't technically qualify as assault but he was angry and so those were the words that left his lips, the boy continuing to struggle. When the man reached for his pants and then his underwear Crevan issued a surprised noise and then started to struggle a bit more frantically.

"What the HELL?!" he shouted, angry over this whole thing and completely mortified that the man had actually pulled down his pants and underwear to leave his bare butt on display to the room at large.

KingCrowley March 8th, 2014 01:17 PM

"STOP cussing." Roy snapped, punctuating that with a harder smack to the top of the boy's right thigh. "This is not assault, it's discipline, and when you get disciplined, you're going to feel it full force, hence why you're getting it bare." he explained and delivered three more smacks in addition to his words. "Things are going to change with your attitude Crevan, even if I have to drag you here daily and remind you of it." He began smacking faster and a bit harder but making sure not to actually damage the skin or anything like that.

He could see Crevan's butt begin to turn a nice shade of dusty pink, and so he started squarely on his sensitive under curves. "Now then, why are you being spanked Crevan? What was wrong with your behavior?"

CleverFox March 13th, 2014 09:43 PM

"It's none of your business how I talk!" Crevan said when the man told him to stop cussing but then he yelped in response to the harder smack that was delivered. This was not the same as the abuse that he had suffered at the hands of his father but at the same time it was far from pleasant and the boy was not the least bit happy about it. "You're just being a jerk," Crevan said in response to the man's words about discipline, the child trying to squirm free from the hold that his handler had on him though he wasn't really managing to do much of anything.

When he was asked why he was being spanked and what was wrong with his behavior the boy said, "Cause you're bigger than me and you can...nothing wrong with my behavior." And in his mind there wasn't, he had been acting his way for some long that it was just normal for him.

KingCrowley March 13th, 2014 10:36 PM

"It is my business Crevan." Roy answered when the kid said that it was none of his business how he talked. "You're speaking to me." He ignored the rest of what the kid said and continued to firmly smack his bottom, he knew it was going to be a while yet before he got any sort of cooperation from Crevan and he just hoped the kid wouldn't wait til he was incredibly sore to finally drop the stubborn, tough kid act. "There is a lot wrong with your behaviour and we're gonna be here all day at this rate kid unless you start accepting what you did wrong."

"Its not okay to go around disrespecting people like that. What If you happened to pick a fight with the wrong person and he decided to do a little more than give you a punch hm?" he asked, tone calm as he laid harsh smacks to his sensitive under curves.

CleverFox March 14th, 2014 12:23 AM

The lecturing was not something that Crevan was particularly happy about but it was the lesser of two evils at this point, the boy occasionally yelping softly as his backside was smacked. When he was asked about picking a fight with someone and doing more than getting punched Crevan shook his head slightly and said, in a voice that was surprisingly quiet, "I'm not trying to pick a fight with anyone...I just want to be left alone...by everyone."

That was all that he wanted, all of his attitude was an attempt to push everyone away so that they would just leave him alone.

It was sort of surprising that he admitted to that but right now his backside was really sore and he wasn't feeling quite as defiant as he had been before, that much was evident. Crevan hung his head at that point, tears sliding down his face that he was attempting to hide.

KingCrowley March 14th, 2014 12:32 AM

"Well then if you wanted to be left alone, why couldn't you say that without the attitude or without the insults huh?" Roy asked not feeling any sympathy for the kid since he'd spoken to him like a dog or something similar and Roy just really did not appreciate that. He didn't stop the spanking but he lightened the swats when the child began to cry and hung his head. "From now on, if you speak to me with some respect kiddo, you'll get the same respect back, it works both ways." he explained and then stopped the spanking.

"Do you think you can manage that? Because I will not hesitate to grab a slipper if you decide to mouth off to me again." he scolded. "I know it seems like I'm being mean, Crevan. But I am trying to keep you safe and help you get the most out of this place...you're a bright kid and you could have a good future ahead of you, and I care enough to keep you on the right track and get you out of here in time."

CleverFox March 14th, 2014 12:52 AM

"Because it doesn't work," Crevan replied when asked why he hadn't just told the man that he wanted to be left alone. That was something that he had tried, on numerous occasions, but no one ever paid heed to his desires in that regard and so he had no reason to think that this man would be any different. He basically ignored the threat that was issued to him, Crevan reaching up to wipe at his face to rid himself of the tears, a slight blush coloring his face because of the embarrassment.

"Will you please just let me up?" he asked, shaking his head when told that he could have a good future. "Not gonna happen," he added quietly though he didn't bother tossing out any further insults.

KingCrowley March 14th, 2014 01:00 AM

Roy sighed, he could tell very well that Crevan hadn't learned any sort of lesson, and that annoyed him since he was telling the kid that he cared, but he was having none of it. He shrugged and decided to give the kid what he wanted. He hauled him up from his lap and looked him in the eye. "I don't wanna have to do this again Crevan. Now get back to your room, I don't want to hear a word outta you for the rest of the day." he snapped at him.

He spoke like this to every child he scolded, but he found himself wanting to hug and comfort Crevan. But he thought better of that considering Crevan's reaction to his words.

CleverFox March 15th, 2014 02:57 PM

As soon as he was allowed up Crevan immediately fixed his clothes, the boy not looking at Roy as the man snapped at him and told him that he didn't want to do that again and then ordered him to his room. It seemed that he was ordered there a lot but Crevan didn't bother saying so much as a word to the man as he turned and walked stiffly away. To him it was as though things were going back to the way that they had been before, being hit and then sent away, though he didn't say anything about that either and instead just made his way back to his room.

This time he lay on one of the beds rather than sitting in the corner, his back to the room as he just hoped that everyone would leave him alone.

KingCrowley March 15th, 2014 04:15 PM

Roy sighed, Crevan wasn't giving him any room to care for the kid and it was so frustrating, he just wanted to be there for him and keep him safe. He just wanted to scoop him up and take him home, like a little lost, mischievous puppy. He doubted anyone would let him take the kid home....but then again, maybe he could just take him on a night? Maybe he could ask because he was worried about Crevan being beaten up by the other kids.

His home was secure too, there would be no way for the kid to escape, and maybe being somewhere homely would make the child open up to him a bit more. He smiled and began typing an email to his boss about his request and soon enough, it was permitted on a trial run to see how things went. Crevan would leave with Roy at six and come back in the morning at about eight.
