Adom's new cub (for Barbosasdaughter)
 

Adom, a fully grown male gorilla, walked along the beach of his island. Since the departure of his herds leader, Tarzan, Adom had struck out to be on his own. Suddenly, something caught his eye, a bundle of rags had washed up on shore, so Adom decided to investigate. When he got closer, he saw that they were not rags, but a dress belonging to a little girl, no older than seven. The girl had shoulder length brown hair and beautiful pale skin. Adom picked the girl up in his strong arms and gave her a little shake, "are you alright?" he asked gently.

Sandy didn´t really know what happed or she didn´t want to. She was on her way to a foreign contry on a big ship as they got caught in a storm and the ship sunk. She fell overboard and everyone trought she had been drowned just like the rest of the ship´s crew. Sandy woke up as she was grabbed. "Uh?" she looked into a huge gorilla´s eyes. She had never seen one but recognized a warm tint in his eyes. "Uh..I..I don´t know."

Adom looked confused at the little girl, walking back towards the jungle with her. "Looks like you were caught in a pretty bad ship wreck, what's your name?"

Sandy gripped on the gorilla and let him carry her away. She had nowhere to go and trusted the big strong male. "Uh my name is Sandy...I..I think we got caught in a storm as I and...my uncle...yeah I think I was with him, we wanted to travel to another country. That´s what he told me." she said. She nuzzled into Adom´s fur and smiled. "You´re all soft...and warm...what is your name? Do you live here?" Sandy asked

Adom smiled down at the little girl, "my name is Adom he said, begining to climb up into a tree, "and yes, I live in the jungle".

Sandy gripped him tight as he climbed up into the tree. "Are you all alone? That would be...sad."

"It's not too bad" said Adom, reaching the top of the tree, and sitting the girl on his lap, "at least I have no one to pester me".

"But what if you want to talk or so? But you're probably right." the little girl smiled and then her stomach growled. "Oh I am hungry like a bear." she said

Adom chuckled, "that can be fixed" he said, reaching above him and pulling down a load of bannanas.

"Ohhh that's something!" sandy smiled took some and ate. "Thank you."
