A question and a message from El Manto Negro

Greetings I see what you are doing here, is good move, but I don’t know yet if I want to be part of it. I wan to see how the site develops, how evolve this month then I will make my decision.

In the mean time I have a question, what about 3d software rendered images? I have some old poser-cell-shaded works that were removed from Aotk 0.1 and I want to know if I can be posted here, also I have some “real pictures” of revoltech action figures getting spanked are those welcome here?

Now until I made my decision I DO NOT WANT ANY OF MY ART UPLOADED HERE. Reasons: one I want to be uploaded from my original files, I have seen some resized, cropped, edited versions of my art and I don’t want those around, I want my art fresh from my files. Second because of the fresh start is a great opportunity to arrange the gallery in a different way example: one folder for my original characters one folder for the parody art, other for the comics and such for the moment you can get rid of the “site females folder” please, and not create new folders until further notice.

Good luck with the site, I will be watching you…
Yours: El Manto Negro.

Hi, EMN,

I assumed that AOTK 0.1 didn't have a 3d software render because no one wanted it or they were unavailable. I would assume that the leaders where anime only type people and didn't want to shade the forum with "enemy competitor" styles of art. Personally I have no problem with those kind of submissions, but I would have a problem if there was a full category for them and then it remains empty forever.

In the gallery I will have to say no. Not because I have problem with it, but I know that this will open a door of years of requests of adding misc. pics online, videos, and who knows what else. Of course its still welcome to show in the forum.

S/F is removed. I will not create anymore files within the active community category. I'll actually be removing them withing a certain given amount of time once I have personally asked each artist for their submissions and their lack of interest.

I hope you decide to share them eventually though. Your work is very good. If you see any art that is yours that is creeping around someplace in the gallery use the report button and we'll handle it.

I hope as well El Manto that you bring your images here, you always had really awesome images and it would be a shame for them to be completely hidden away from the world because its old home disappeared. Hopefully we can get the others here as well, how many have you contacted Sutton?

All right what the hell I’m in!!!! :chg
I’m going to believe in this site, somehow I feel very comfortable around here and I wan to be part of it, so let the gallery begins

So I will love to have these folders please:

General draws (where I will upload parody art)
Original characters (where I will upload draws of my well know characters)
Comics (where I will upload my comics)
Sketches and Specials (where I will upload my sketch works and stuff that not fit on the previous categories)

My main traffic will be on the first two where I will upload most of my works because I didn’t do comics very often, and the sketch and specials is more for archiving purposes.

Yours El Manto Negro

CGI Art, such as that done with Poser, DAZ3D, Bryce, etc. was not permitted on the old forums, I believe, because it's currently a very murky area of legality in many countries. In some places, it's considered "real enough" to fall under pornography laws and thus, depending on content of individual pictures, can be considered child pornography in those areas.

but the old site permitted drawings of children. We even had uncensored pictures from lolicon doujin, and I'm pretty sure thats illegal in canada and sweden etc. Why should the question of legality in other countries matter when the site is situated in a country where those laws don't apply?

Isn't it only illegal in the location of the server? I mean in terms of illegality because that's where its being "held"?

I seem to recall most of the more sexualized loli stuff being taboo as well (I know the Jade Chan garbage was banned). As an artist from the old site myself, I personally wouldn't want to post any of my art that allows that kind of content. If its legally in a grey area, I say leave it out.

Sorry for the double post but that should have read "I personally wouldn't want to post any of my art on a site that allows that kind of content."
