Assistant trouble / An unusual Mentor (for JadeRulez123)
 

It was a sunny morning as Melissa woke up from her alarm clock. 6 AM. She sighed. This was one of the things that she didn't like about her new job, the time when she had to be there. But she accepted and signed the contract, so there was no way out of it. Quickly, she stood up and got ready for her first day at work. While she was in the shower, she wondered what would be expected from her. She heard a lot, but wasn't sure if she was able to handle all this from the beginning, she was just 21 after all. After she got ready for the day and dressed, she ate something and was on her way to work.
She still wondered why they picked her, she didn't have much experience, but she also heard that her new boss was a playboy and maybe it was because she was not ugly...

As she arrived in front of the big building, she looked up. STARK. The big letters couldn't been ignored from anyone, as well as the boss of this company couldn't. Melissa had to admit that he was a good looking man, but she also knew that he was a playboy, and she wasn't sure how far he would go once she was his assistant. Walking inside, she went to the reception and asked where she should go. "Mrs. Potts will pick you up in a second", the woman answered friendly and told Melissa just to sit and wait a moment.
Just a few seconds later, Pepper Potts indeed arrived. "Mrs. White, nice to meet you again", she said and smiled as they shaked hands. Melissa smiled back nervously."The pleasure is all mine", she answered and followed her into the elevator.
"You don't need to be nervous, its normal but there is no reason, I am sure everything will work out fine once you got used to it", Pepper said friendly. "I hope so", Melissa answered and followed the woman into the huge office of her new boss.
"Tony? Your new assitant arrived", Pepper told him.

After a long day of training and a few meetings with some people from the army that were really exhausting, Steve Rogers walked into his flat. He sighed. Finally home! Now he just needed to take a shower and then he could go and meet Clint for a drink.

The good thing was, that he wasn't able to get drunk so it wasn't such a big thing if he drank a bit more.

Clint and Steve kinda became friends after what happened in New York. Steve liked how Clint saw things, mostly. He was like him, a soldier that was there to do what somebody else told him to do, but he was also thinking and acting in another way if he thought that it was needed.

Without too many real friends (more fans in fact), Steve was thankful that he was able to talk with somebody that wasn't interested in his role as superhero. Soon, he was on his way to meet Clint, really looking forward to that relaxing evening.

Tony Stark, playboy billionaire philanthropist - looked up from his desk, or more sepcifically, his ipad. He was always messing with some form of technology. Blinking a little as he caught light from the open door, he looked quickly to his dashing new assistant. Leaving (or rather dragging himself away from) his work, he moved toward the woman to shake her hand formally. Though Tony was a playboy and sometimes quite rude, not to mention a little childish - he still had the sense to be formal and professional when needed.

"Miss White is it?" Tony asked as he finally released her soft, slender hand and placed it casually into his pocket, "Funny, I had a teacher with that surname, although...she was big and fat and...well, let's say she wasn't like you at all." Tony needed to work on his manners and ability of small talk that was for sure. "Thank you for showing up on such short notice since Pepper is leaving me...." his voice trailed off and he narrowed his eyes childishly at her.

"Alright, so basically you just have to do what I tell you, when I tell you." Tony informed moving back to stand by his desk. "And try to interrupt me as little as possible...also, make sure the alcohol is always stocked." he smacked his lips at that. "Actually, Pepper, be a dear and fetch me and Miss White something to drink." he asked, soft toned.

Clint, after being bored for say half an hour at most, was currently driving around the city in a very nice Lexus, which actually belonged to his co-worker Tony. The only thing was (and everyone of his co-workers knew this) Clint did NOT have a license and was so driving illegally. But the brunette was having far too much fun to even care. His favorite song was blaring loud through the radio and he was enjoying the good life.

"Shit, I need to meet Steve!" he gasped, making a dangerous U turn when he suddenly spotted Steve, he must be on his way to their meet. "Sorry, sorry, just go around!" he stuck his head out the window and looked back as a car beeped at him to move his ass. "GO AROUND!" he yelled again, "God, drivers these days!" he sighed exasperated and then let himself out of the car, grinning at Steve.

"I didn't forget, I was just taking the scenic route!" he stated, locking up the car and leaving it where it was in the middle of the road.

Melissa listened to her new boss nervously, nodding to everything to show him that she understood what he said. Hell, he was really...not ugly. She sure saw him in the TV before but now she could understand all the women that were unable to escape his charme. Smiling friendly at him, she finally spoke: "I will do my best Sir"

Pepper looked at Tony meaningfully and rose an eyebrow. "Ms. White, what would you like to drink?" Melissa smiled at her. "Nothing, thank you." Pepper nodded and went away to fetch Tony his drink. She would show Melissa this later...

Steve walked into a pub with Clint and sat down. "What was that? You seemed to have fun", he said and looked at Clint meaningfully. He was a bit shocked that the man wasn't as (polite once he was driving a car)as he normally was.

Tony smiled and nodded his head, "That's what I like to hear, I think me and you will get along quite well." he added before going back round to sit at his desk. "So, I trust you have references, where were you working before you came here?"

Clint sat down with a larger in hand and shrugged, "I was having fun, I don't even need a license, I can drive so well after all." he laughed and downed some of his drink, gasping in satisfaction afterward.

Melissa cocked her head slightly but smiled like nothing happened a second later. "Yes, I worked for a big company before", she said and smiled, not wanting to tell him that she worked for Justin Hammer before. Of course Pepper knew it, but she trusted the woman to be responsible. She was at least responsible enough to leave Justin Hammer's company.

Steve looked at Clint surprised. "You don't have a license?!", he asked surprised.

Tony frowned when there was a slight lingering silence, but then his frown deepened when Melissa's answer was less than informative. "I should hope that you had, but could you give me a little more detail?"

Clint looked at Steve over the rim of his glass, "Of course not, I can't be bothered with all that crap." he laughed and then sat back in his seat.

Melissa blushed slightly and looked away. "It was a quiet...big company...nearly as big as yours....", she said, her voice like shaking.

Steve frowned and looked at Clint sternly. "That is irresponsible! You are an agent and one of the Avengers, you should know better!", he said angrily.

Tony frowned, and this time he stood up and looked seriously to Melissa. "That's still not very informative, and as your new boss I am telling you to tell me where you last worked." his tone was stern.

Clint rolled his eyes, "Oh calm down, I was just bored and besides I drove just fine if I do say so my self." he answered.

Melissa blushed again and sighed. She didn't want to lose her job right away and her new boss was serious, as far as she saw it. "H-...Hammer Industries..."

"No you didn't! You should be more responsible", Steve said sternly.

Tony suddenly froze but he took a small inhale before he started speaking again, "You should have told me first hand." he told her calmly but stern.

Clint rolled his eyes a second time, "Oh whatever."
