The sun was already rising high as a young man about 19 years walked through the mountains. Because of the snow that was everywhere, he was careful so that he wouldn't become snow-blinded. His short dark hair was messy and his blue eyes showed his will to survive, even if it was clear that he would need some food soon. "Shit, the next village is down the path...that is a two day walk...", the boy thought and grit his teeth.

Luckily, a little forrest appeared soon and he had the hope to be able to hunt a bit. Quickly, he made his way over to the trees and climbed up on one, looking around for some rabbits to chase.

A young girl about the age of 9 or 10 was walking around the snowy forest as she held her thread bare jacket close to her small form. Her fiery red hair was in a state of disarray and her acid green eyes were dim as she walked. Coughing profusely, she saw a few snowy rabbits and tried to get them but was too weak so she bit her finger and drew a circle in the snow, she didn't know what it was or meant but the book that she read it from said it was powerful...perhaps powerful enough to get her some food.

The boy looked down and noticed a girl that tried to catch some snow rabbits, without much success. "Maybe I should help her", he mumbled and was about to stand up as he noticed that she was drawing a transmutation circle in the snow with her blood.

The circle started glowing, but instead of giving her some food, a thick crack appeared in the earth and started moving on, splitting the forrest up. The boy jumped down from the tree and drew another circle in the snow with his hands, activating it and closing the crack quickly. Then, he went over to the girl and wiped away her circle. "Hey, what do you think you're doing?!", he asked in panic.

The girl gasped as the circle began glowing and created a crack in the earth which continued and was about to split up the forest but luckily a boy older than her counteracted her circle and closed it, came over and wiped hers away.
"I-I don't know..." she whispered, looking at him with slight fear in her eyes. "I-I thought it would give me food...or at least help me catch the bunnies...I'm sorry"

The boy sighed. "Wow and I thought you actually knew what you were doing! NEVER use a transmutation circle if you don't know what will happen, understood?", he scolded. "I will catch the bunnies, watch", he said and went near them. He drew a circle onto the ground and used the earth to transmute a little cage. Then, he jumped up, the cage in his hands. After some tries, he managed to catch two bunnies. "There.", he said after he killed them quickly. He went to the girl. "You can help me picking up stones and branches, so that we can make a fire and cook them", he told her.

The girl flinched as he scolded her but quickly shook it off as she caught two bunnies by making a cage of earth and gasped. He came back over and told her to get branches and stones so they could make a fire but made no move to do as he told her.
"How did you do that, what is a transmutation circle?" she asked. "Who are you?"

"Didn't I tell you to pick up stones? If you want food you have to work for it and help me making a fire. We can talk about this while we eat", the boy answered calmly.

The frowned at the boy's tone but did as she was told, gathering rocks and branches and dumping it at his feet like a brat.
"There..." she grumbled. "Happy?"

"No, I'm not happy!", the boy answered and glared down at her. "Stop acting like a brat or you won't get something to eat. Help me arrange the stones and branches so that we can make a fire.", he told her, trying to stay calm, even if he wanted to punish her for her attitude somehow.

The girl simply rolled her eyes and did as she was told, taking out some matches, lighting one, and throwing it on the branches to make the fire.
"Happy now? Or are you incapable of such an emotion?" she asked with a slight smirk.
