New 3D Engine (FREE) from Amazon

https://aws.amazon.com/de/lumberyard/

Amazon did release a new Engine for creating Games so if someone here have the Skills for it, you can now create a sweet spanking Game there and share it with us :D
Maybe could it be possible to create it together?

Tell us/me what you think about it and if someone is here where can create Games in 3D.

Greetings
Spankyboy.

You can download the Tool there and some additional packages, Amazon will add more in the future, I recommend the "Lumberjack".

I checked it out but it seems that you need a video card with at least 1gb of vram and as i am using a laptop with 512mb i dont qualify for that program :(
it does looks promising i hope someone else will take the time to make something for the community

Looks intriguing. Don't really like the fact that you wouldn't be able to release any modifications of the engine as open source. I doubt anyone would need to actually modify the Lumberyard source code itself, so that would probably be a non-issue.

Their clause in the acceptable use policy (https://aws.amazon.com/aup/) against depicting "non-consensual sex acts" could also be problematic if you wanted to include non-consensual spankings (I imagine spankings in spanking porn would be considered "sex acts" even if there was no insertion).

Whether or not it's considered a sex act depends on the state where you live, but in most cases it is not, regardless of the scenario.

It's OK to say the least. I think unity is a solid choice for anyone looking to get started due to its high volume of readily available tutorials and it's user friendliness and cryengine is about to go free to use for more experienced devs.

I like how they called it "Lumberyard"--because lumberyards have such a positive association with the Amazon.
Then again, they also named their book reader after the best way to burn books.

Now, on a more serious note, the engine itself caught my eye a while ago. It's nice to see a new competitor in a domain with such overarching powers as Unity and Unreal. This engine is the result Amazon pouring a ridiculous amount of money into buying CryEngine rights, so Lumberyard is basically a free CryEngine. Who knew we would get a free CryEngine?

Personaly, I think the AWS integration looks kind of amazing, because it is supposed to handle netcode woes. Netcode woes are terrible, I would not wish them on my worst enemy.
I wonder what other magic Amazon baked in there?

My one complaint is that even though it is free, the engine is more restricted than Unity or Unreal--so we'll have to see if that affects its adoption.
