Legend of Zelda: Life in Hyrule
 

Anju was in her home cooking herself some lunch when he heard her cuckoos outside but they seemed to be a lot louder than normal, looking out her window she saw a boy dressed in green running away from the birds. She walked outside quickly,"Come in here child!",she said opening the door to let him in for some shelter from the birds.

"Heh! Umph!",Dark Link grunted as he finally climbed over the castle wall,"Finally..",he mumbled before smirking as he headed into the garden avoiding the guards easily. He saw the princess through one of the windows, looking around for a way inside,"Come on..there's for to be a door!",he muttered to himself.

Link unfortunately made a huge mistake; he just provoked the poultry. When someone does that, they end up chased and probably pecked to death by these angry birds. He made a mad dash away from these chickens, before hearing a voice assisting him. He skidded to a stop and zoned straight into the house.

There was only person watching from afar and that happened to be Impa, Zelda's nanny and bodyguard. She remained there in the shadows for Sheikah always hide within. For now, she kept her gaze on the little intruder below. She at first thought it was Link and he was allowed to arrive, but it's the pale skin colour and change of attire that had her convinced. There was a door nearby, though it lead to a corridor away from Zelda...

The woman shut the door quickly before turning to him,"Are you okay? That's weird they never do anything unless..",Anju turned to Link,"Child did you bother the birds in any way? It's very dangerous to do so.",she finished waiting for him to answer.

Dark Link smirked as he saw the door going inside looking around as he went seeing another room ahead he entered slowly, finding a few things he started to pocket things into his pouch,"I can resell some of these things..",he said looking at some of the items.

He was breathing heavily, exhausted from crossing paths with those chickens. "W-well," he said, standing up straight and looking up at the redhead. "I was chasing one for fun, b-but I tripped and my slingshot came outta my pocket and hit him. Then... that happened."

An index tapped his shoulder, as well with a firm clear of the throat. "Oh? And who are you, young man?" asked the voice of the bodyguard, her arms crossed over her armoured chest as she glared down at the pale boy. 'He looks just like him...' she thought. 'only a change of wardrobe... is he supposed to impersonate him so the guards won't notice...?'

She lifted a brow,"Chasing around my cuckoos? That's not very nice..What is your name child? And where do you live?",Anju asked getting him some water and looked down at him once again,"Are you hungry?".

"Who I am..isn't important..",he said looking away from her glare, glancing around slowly he quickly docked under her and towards the door again. Opening it he looked about quickly on where to go, deciding to hide behind a big bush.

"Well, it was just for fun, not that I was gonna hit them..." Link scuffed one foot across the floorboards, sighing. "My name? It's Link. And I'm from the Kokiri Forest." He watched her leave. "Well,... yeah, I am."

However, her gloved hand found the back of his collar, resisting him from escaping. "I asked you a question, young man. Remove what you have in your pockets and tell me who you are and what are you doing here."

"Come along Link.",She said walking towards the kitchen taking some meat she had cooked and putting it on a plate with bread and milk on the table,"Here sit and eat. Do you have any parents Link?",she asked sipping tea.

"Let me go! Fine! Take your dumb stuff..",he said throwing it out his pockets before crossing his arms and glaring up at her,"My names Dark Link...I was just looking around..But I should have a reason..",he smirked taking out his slingshot and snapping a rock aginstbthe window breaking it,"There, that's what I'm doing..".

"Hey, thanks!!" Link said and immeditely started wolfing down his meal, completely in bliss for having food like this. He was short on Rupee's, so this was a great opportunity. "Uhm..." he shook his head. "No, I don't. I was raised in the Kokiri Forest by a tree, we don't have any parents."

"Well,... Dark Link..." What an odd name. He was definetely an impersonator. "Do you know that you were tres-" she stared blankly at the assault on one of the windows and then something snapped inside of her. She turned him around while grabbing her arm and gave her a sharp smack on his rear. "What do you think you are doing?!"

Anju nodded listening,'Such a young boy having no parents..I have an extra room he could stay in..',she thought before speaking,"Link since your so young, and you have no parents, I would like you to stay here with me. You can help take care of the cuckoos, since I m allergic.. Would you like that?",she said smiling softly.

"Ow! Let me go lady! You asked what I was doing here so I showed you! It's your own fault!",he said kicking at her to get her to let go. Dark Link blushed deeply looking around to make sure no one had seen that happen,"You have no right to do that lady..",he grumbled out.

"You... You want me to stay here?" Link asked, tilting his head in confusion. This was noce offering of hospitality, even from a total stranger that he just met and had him over for lunch. "Uh... yes? I appreciate that, lady, but I'm a hero going on a quest. See?" he got up and turned around. "I have a sword and shield."

"My name is Impa!" she said, but grunted when he kicked her shin. Oh, now he was asking for it. With a firm grip, she gripped his collar and picked him up, taking him back into the room where she could give a proper lesson. "From now on, when you meet me, you will call me Miss Impa or ma'm, NOT lady."
