Peridot Punished
 

Garnet was the most cool-headed gem anyone knew. It took a lot to get under her skin, but a certain new member sure loved to test her patience. Peridot was, in a word, annoying. In more ways than one. She acted like a small child, even more so than Steven. The gem had read up on things she could do to keep the green member in line, and found a rather interesting punishment she would have to try next time Peridot did something.

Peridot was with Steven at the time, who seemed to be the safest one of the 'clods', still learning about the earth and also her powers as she was determined to be the best out of all of them.

At the moment Steven was showing Peridot the different flowers growing near the house, pretty flora in a variety of pastel colors. He was the picture of innocence among the garden, and he hoped the gem would appreciate the delicate wildlife.

Peridot stared at the flowers before picking a bunch of them,"Are these some kind of weapons?",she asked pulling the petals apart before a bee happened to be on one. It wasn't very happy about being messed with, flying at her angrily,"Ack! It is a weapon!",she said starting to run, crushing some of the others.

Steven chuckled as she was going on her "weapon searching" shtick, until she found the bee on the flower. He then wrapped his arms around the green gem to stop her. "No! Stop! It's just a bee! If you don't hurt it it won't hurt you." he exclaimed as the bee hovered for a bit before buzzing away.

Peridot shut her eyes tightly before opening them slowly and saw the bee fly off,"This earth sure has terrible creatures.",she commented before pulling away from him,"Why do you like these things anyway? Their useless.".

Steven smiled a bit, trying not to take any offence. "Well, flowers are very pretty. They're so colorful, and people give flowers to other people they really like." he then picked a daisy and gave it to Peridot. "See?"

Peridot took the flower before smiling a bit,"Hm.. interesting..",she said before thinking to herself,'This could be a way to win over all of the gems.', so she picked a bunch of flowers running to the house, and without one word she just shoved flowers into their hands,"There!".

The gems were rather surprised when Peridot rushed to them and gave them flowers, luckily it was a pleasant surprise. "Ohh! Thank you Peridot!" Pearl praised. Garnet nodded. "Yes. Thank you." "Cooool~" Amethyst said with her usual kitty face.

Peridot smirked pridefully,"Well I happened to see them and immediately thought of you three. Those are..rare flowers too.. From a mountain!",she said looking back to see if Steven would come inside. The small gem didn't want him to expose anything in her plan, if they actually fell for it that is, maybe they never noticed the flowers outside, and if they did she would say they just happen to look the same to the 'rare' flowers.
