Elizabeth Ann Fisher, sat at a small table coloring at the social service office waiting nervously to meet the man that she was told is her daddy. Lizzy is the name she is most often referred by, is a petite 5 year old with blonde hair, blue eyes and displays dimples when she smiles. Lizzy had always lived alone with her mommy. Unfortunately her mommy was recently killed in a tragic car accident, which meant Lizzy would need to either go into the foster care system or be placed with a family member.

Today would be that day, Lizzy will start a new life with her daddy.

Elizabeth's father was Sam. he'd been in the US Navy for years. because of his girl friend he'd decided to go into the Military and spend nearly every penny he got to support her and his daughter. it was a pain but he'd done it. Now she was gone. and Sam had made the choice to leave the service and start to raise his daughter himself. which was why he was waiting in the office, waiting for his paperwork to clear. before he could meet his daughter for the first time.

Lizzy looked up as she heard the door open into the office she had been waiting. "Is that my daddy." She asked the social worker. "Yes it is sweetie." , she replied. Lizzy stood up and hid behind the social worker shyly as her daddy stepped in the room and introduced himself.

Sam looked at the girl, it was the first time he'd seen her in life. all he'd ever seen was photo's. "hi. I'm Sam. Your Father." he said simply.

Lizzy peeked out from behind the social worker. "Hhh hi, Sam", Lizzy said nervously. She slowly stepped out from behind the social worker as she nudged her slightly. Lizzy stood there in her pink jeans and white flowered t shirt looking up, "are you really my daddy, I never had a daddy before?"

Sam sighed. nealing down and reaching around his neck. Next to his dog tags was a small locket. in which was a picture of both Lizzy, and her mother. "yeah. I'm your father."

Lizzy saw the locket as Sam knealed down, and smiled. "I have one of those too" ,she said pointing to the locket. Lizzy reached up and held her locket out to show him. "See its got a picture of mommy and me too." Lizzy looked down sadly "my mommy went to heavens" , she said sadly. The lady said if daddy doesn't want me to live with him, I have to go live with the fosters, but I don't know who that is, so I will run aways from them. "Do I gotta go to the fosters?"

"no Hon." Sam said. and smiled. "your going to live with me now hon." he said.

Lizzy nodded and smiled a little, she turned and picked up her backpack , her doll , and the. Tried picking up her suitcase. Ufffff, this is a little heavy..umm do I call you Sam or daddy? She said Looking up curiously.

"you can call me whatever you want hon. Though I hope you'll think of me as your Daddy some day." Sam said. taking her suitcase.
