Punished Trainer means Good Trainer (for Robin-Hunter)
A hard elbow banged the doors straight open, where a rather young boy named Red who used to be in the Smash Bros tournament appeared within the centre. In his arms, he held a bruised but breathing Squirtle whose knocked in unconsciousness. In the boy's eyes, tears were pooling though they were kept to himself in order to not cry. He had to be strong; it wasn't the end of the world. He had his Pokemon pegged plenty of times but this time, it wasn't just a losing battle he had with another. Breathing rapidly, he charged towards the counter where he matched eyes with a tall woman while he maintained his grip on the smaller Water Type.
"Nurse! Please! It's an emergency! I need you to heal my Squirtle! He took a bad tumble and is badly hurt! Can you do it asap?" He was determined to keep his Pokemon safe from harm, so he was lucky to have at least a hospital near his hometown otherwise they would have been too late. |
Nurse Joy had been straightening her desk and enjoying a moment of rare peace in the Pokemon Center when a trainer burst through. Though she was younger than one of her many sisters, she had still worked long enough to see the tell-tale signs it was going to be a long afternoon. The boy approached and seemed more frantic with her word, taking in the Pokemon's condition she was lucky she no longer had the ability to feel faint.
"I need you to calm down little guy. " She said noting his eyes looked close to tears."I need a stretcher out her now! I also need everyone available on standby!" She yelled, not taking her own advice. Two Chanseys burst through doors looking frantic and surprisingly quick for their egg shaped bodies. "Place your Squirtle there." She said voice serious as she gather a few supplies from her desk and gesturing to the stretcher. What had this boy done to injury his Pokemon so severely !? |
His gaze averted to the pair of Chanseys, who were known for joining the hospital, entered the waiting room with a stretcher. While he was thankful that help came to his side, his concern wasn't decreasing. With a big sigh to at least composure himself, he faced the nurse and then the stretcher, carefully placing the Squirtle on his front, wincing at the Water Type's own. He knew that all the nurses in the world will do everything in their abilities to rejuvenate trainer's Pokemon.
Then he looked up at the nurse with his glimmering eyes, where he tried his utmost best to keep himself from crying as that never solved anything. "P-please do what you can..." he said though not I never a way that it sounded demanding. |
Nodding towards her Pokemon assistants, Nurse Joy watched as they took the injured Pokemon from the room, they knew how to begin prep for healing. In the mean time she turned and looked down at young trainer before her.
"We always do." She gestured to a plush waiting room seat for the boy to sit down, while she was sympathetic to the boy. She was also curious as to how the Pokemon had ended up in such a state. For this young trainer's sake, it better have been an ambush of some kind. |
Red sniffled up what's left of his tears and cleared his thrown behind his fist. "Thanks." he said, making his way over to the chair of the waiting room, which felt depressing as a few other trainers that recently started their adventures sat alongside him. It made the young man feel slightly worse; these were beginners that have a lot of learn, Red was a Pokemon Master whose been training them for as long as he knew.
Would his Squirtle be okay? He hoped so as this very animal, alongside the Ivysaur and his Charizard, were very close friends of his. |
Gazing at the trainer for a moment, Joy almost let her emotions get the best of her. She hated seeing misery in any way. However, she still had a job to do. Trotting away she reached behind her desk to retrieve a clipboard with a form ready at the top, seeing that the boy was in know state for paperwork she decided to focus on the question that she needed for medical purposes and her own curious.
She took a seat right next to the boy, "I need you to explain what happened, go at your on pace, but do not spare any details. Your Squirtle's health is only as good as the information you give me now." She spoke in a serious tone. |
An aura of silence occurred in the waiting room with the occasional magazine that main article reads about Professor Oak refusing to retire. Okay, that brought a half-smile for a brief moment. As he stared down at his jean-clad knees, he twiddled his thumbs lightly, before leaning back against the back-rest where his backpack was resting by the chair-leg.
He eventually looked up to match his gaze with the same nurse who called over the assistants. A confused expression crossed his face,... before that turned into one of nervousness. "Wh-what did you want to know?" |
Her eyes were dead serious, she picked up on the boy's tone of nervousness. She placed a hand on his knee and leaned in.
"I need you to tell me how your Pokemon became so injured. I'm going to know eventually, but if you tell me sooner I can give your Squirtle much better treatment quicker." She reached into an apron and offered the boy a handkerchief. |
Red froze upon her hand on his knee but he didn't question her, thinking this might be a sign of comfort. He looked straight into her eyes with his brown ones blinking. He taken the handkerchief and wiped his eyes, before blowing his nose softly.
Wiping an arm against his eyes, he looked at the nurse and took a deep breath. "Squirtle was injured in a fight... a rough one from what I remember..." he explained to her exactly what happened, from when he only brought the Squirtle to swim in the lake to when he saw a Cloystor... Squirtle had a hard time winning to put it bluntly. |
Rubbing the little trainer's knee she let herself soften slightly, poor thing. She'd spent many at night worrying about such things happening to trainers. They were all so young and bound to make mistakes.
Jotting down notes at each word on her clipboard at a breakneck pace. Nodding for the boy to continue. "Okay, why did you return him to his Poke Ball, did you get attacked as well ? Do only have one Pokemon or do you lack any proper Pokemon storage ? " Nurse Joy asked hoping the boy had a very good excuse for the Squirtle not being in a Poke Ball when he came into the Center. |
