Wolf pack (Open to all)
 

Lobo sighed gently as he looked up at the sky. It was almost time again. Every month, on the night of the full moon, he would have to go to the rite of challenge where a large number of males and females would gather and he would fight each one in turn for right for dominance of the pack. He had been alpha since he had been a pup and he wasn't about to give it up now. Some of his competitors stopped showing because they were far to dignified to accept the punishment that came after losing a fight to him... a swift, hard spanking in front of the entire pack, regardless of gender, age, or rank...

Larka giggled as she approached Lobo. He was her idle; just the coolest wolf in the pack. She was sure she stuck out like a sore thumb in the night; she wasn't really good at sneaking up on people. She quickly approached him with a steady run. "Hey Lobo!" She said excitedly. "What cha doing?"

Lobo turned to her quickly. "Hm? Oh, it's you Larka... just thinking... what about you? You aren't supposed to be out so late, are you?" he asked, crossing his arms.

Larka didn't answer right away. "Uhm..no," she said. "But I just wanted to see you!" she said quickly smiling happily. "You've been so busy Lobo! And though I'm really happy you're the leader and all, and I really look up to you! But I miss the times when I could just spend time with you!"

Lobo smiled gently. "I know... I miss that time too, Larka, but it can't be helped. I'm alpha now and I have to protect the pack and help them... and protect myself from those seeking my place." He reached over and ruffled the younger wolf's hair. "But we have a bit of time now... what's been happening with you? Still as much of a brat as you were when I wasn't alpha?"

"No," she said, moving towards his touch. "I'm not a brat anymore!" She giggled. "I'm older and I'm old enough to help with the pups now! They're so cute and so much fun to play with!"

Lobo laughed gently and sighed. "That would be nice... those little rascals are starting to get uppity now... and it is almost time to take them on their first hunt... yes, I would love it if you would help me."

Larka's eyes widned excitedly. "You mean it!" she said. "I can really help you!" She hugged him tightly. "Oh! Thank you Lobo! Thank you! Thank you!"

Lobo laughed gently and hugged the girl tightly, moving a bit of hair out of her face. "Alright, alright, calm down, girl!" He grinned at her. "But let me tell you, if you want to help me, you have to accept a lot of responsibility and I will hold you responsible for any accidents that happen when I put you in charge of something and something goes wrong, okay?"

Lero smiled. Larka really was cute when she got excited.

He'd been watching Lobo for a while before Larka showed up. The young wolf was one of those expected to challenge Lobo this cycle - while it wasn't a task he really wanted to go through, he'd supposed that at least studying the Alpha would help his cause - if he decided to go through with it. Lero had few illusions about his youthfulness, and he doubted he'd make a good Alpha, but was being pushed nonetheless: so that when he was ready, he'd know what it would take to become Alpha, someday.

Either way, it was a quiet night, and the wolf - mere months older than Larka - had decided that tonight was a good night to wait, and to watch. For now, he thought, simply watching might be best.
