Tablet suggestions

I have been thinking of getting a tablet to do my drawings on, rather than continue to scan pencil sketches. Is there anyone who uses one that could recommend a particular tablet or manufacturer. I have heard Wacom makes good ones in general, although they can be hit or miss depending on the model.

Wacom is the best brand, though genius tablets are far cheaper and work fine if youre not a pro. Works only in pc tho and its not as confortable to use, but it has the same presssure as the wacom models.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll have to consider my budget and other needs, but at least I know where to start.

I'm using a Wacom Bamboo (see http://spankingartwiki.animeotk.com/...raphics_tablet) and I'm happy with it so far, though I have no comparison to other brands and models.

I use a Wacom Intuos and it's been about 90% reliable, but I think KiraWolfCub reported problems with her's.

I use a Genius tablet since the last year, and is great, (also cheaper) I recommend that you buy a cheapper one to learn in it (also in case you break it will it cost less money) then when you are convinced that the tablet is for you then buy the expensive one.
