Contemporary RP (Adohiro and Chaos)
 

Charles Murphy pulled up the collar of his jacket as protection against the howling wind and pouring rain as he trudged down the street toward his apartment. His gang had finished divying up proceeds from their latest caper just hours before and the 24 year old was eager to get back home where it was warm and dry!

Moira an abandoned orphan who was trembling in the dark murky alleyway of an apartment that was close by. He was shivering and trembling from the cold and wet temperature, he would get hyperthermia if he didn't get enough warmth.

Shivering, Charles decided to cut through a nearby alley - it would take longer to get home than by his usual route, but the buildings would act as a windbreak, preventing him from getting too chilled on the walk...

He saw a man come closer and he stood up wearily. He winced from some old wounds had he saw a thick wallet which he tried to pickpocket it but failed.

Feeling a hand brush clumsily against his hip pocket, Charles wheeled around with catlike speed, ready to administer a well-deserved ass-kicking to the would-be-thief!


(He's not an especially powerful fighter, but reasons that anyone who could take him in a fair-fight wouldn't bother trying to pick his pocket in a dark alley so he's pretty confident)

The child had failed and the thick wallet of cash had fallen on the dark ground. He felt his arm be grabbed and he tried to struggle free. He didn’t think this man would punish him. He sank his dirty teeth on his flesh cutting it!

Seeing that the attempted thief was a mere child, Charles paused for a moment uncertain how to proceed - only to broken from his stunned state when the urchin bit deep into his hand!


"OW!" he cried, releasing his grip...

He let got once the man reeled his hand back. He wiped his mout and he grabbed the wallet and ran towards the man’s apartment, however, he reached a dead end!

Charles chased after the assailant and soon cornered the child.


"Give the wallet back right now and your parents don't need to find out about this" he told the kid, nursing his bleeding hand - he didn't actually want to hurt a Kindergartener...

The child sniffled and he handed the wallet over. “But I need it.” He told him. “Let me have it you have money too.” He complained shivering since he had no jacket and he looked very neglected.
