Hey all, quick question. What is the usual after-spanking that usual follows a spanking with you? Do you have lots of cuddling, time in corner, a lecture, or a combination of all of them?

I don't spank to punish(or get spanked for punishment, for that matter), so I never really saw a reason for rituals. What follows is more what both involved parties are up to afterwards.
I suppose cuddling might be a part of that.

Deffinatly cuddles afterwards, but mabey some corner time as well.

Cuddles are always good. Generally, there's MORE than cuddles afterwards... but that's just me.

Of course, if it's a Disciplinary spanking, then it's possibly cornertime, or sitting, bare-bottomed, on a hard, smooth seat.

I like the image of cornertime - with hands on head, facing the wall, trousers and underpants right down to the ankles or off completely with buttocks showing the results of the spanking on full display for a suitable period of time - but in reality it normally seems over doing it unecessarily and even in fiction is often makes me feel uncomfortable especially if the preceding chastisement has been a particularly harsh and malicious thrashing.

I found a quotation from one of Dorothy L. Sayer's' Lord Peter Wimsey books which seems to sum up the situation quite well:

I too, think corner time is kinda harsh, in fiction I use it only if the spanker is a bad person, and in that case, he'll be regreting punishing that kid.

I think the best after spanking thing that can happen is hugs and forgiveness.
