RWBY: Cold Pressure (for UniverseMan)
 

Midnight, a 18 year old Hedgefox faunus (Hybrid of a Hedgehog and a Fox), is running errands in his home village. When all of a sudden, he is taking down Grimm and White Fang members that have invaded the area and wreaked havoc upon the citizens. He managed to get the situation to die down long enough for most villagers to get to a safe place. He was then able to drive the threats out after launching a massive Lightning Blast in the village, wiping out any Grimm within its proximity and scaring White Fang members away. After doing so, he walked to the safe area to tell everyone they can go back to their homes.

While most were over joyed. Some were still cold to the young hybrid. They saw him as a freak for not only his semblance, but his appearance. Apparently, someone thought that having two fox tails and having quils instead of hair on his head made him a menace to society and an abomination to Nature. He never did have friends and his family disowned and left him for dead at young age, the only friend and family he had, was a Grimm Fox Kit he had found in the forest after wondering it on his own for a few hours after saving his village. He named her Bailey, and she was very friendly towards him.

After wandering the forest, he returned home. Once he arrived, he saw there was a Bullhead landed near the lake and docks of his village. He went over and sat and hid in a tree to check it out and saw four girls and a man with White Hair and a cane, emerge from it and start looking around. He shrugged it off and went back to the village to mind his own business.

The girl with Silver eyes and Red hooded cape turned to the older man. "What exactly does the new guy look like?"she asked him.

Ozpin takes A sip of his tea as he takes A look around him. He had asked Team RWBY to accompany him on this search on finding the newest student of Beacon. He then turns his head back at Ruby who asked about his appearance. "Well his name is Midnight and he is A Faunus, A rare one at that. A hybrid of a Hedgehog and a Fox. So My guess is it shouldn't be too hard to find him. Just remember this. He may look different but that doesn't mean he doesn't feel different from you." Ozpin advised the girls before they decided to split and search for Midnight.

Ruby nods at that. "Right. Welp. You heard the man, let's find us a faunus. Yang, you search the surrounding forest with Blake, Weiss you search the Village with me."

"You got it leader,"said Yang.

"Yeah whatever let's go." Weiss said in her usual Ice Queen tone as she begins to walk with Ruby to the nearby village. She was already annoyed hearing the new member joining Beacon is A Faunus, she didn't hate them but she wasn't very fond of them after all of the attacks she has seen growing up around her family's dust corporation caused by the White Fang but she considered almost all Faunus easily capable of misdeeds.

"Okay Weiss! Let's ask around for the guy!"said Ruby. She looked around and saw the place looked like it was recently attacked and saw a lady with her child.

"Hey! Excuse me!"Ruby called to the mother.

"Hm? Yes, can I help you?"the mother asked.

"Um... I wanted to ask what happened here and have you seen a Faunus named Midnight?"

"Hmm... Oh! You see this place just got overrun with Grimm and White Fang Members!"

Weiss looks around and it indeed seems like there was A large battle that took place in the village. "So do you know what happened to the Faunus?" Weiss question as she had her arms crossed the entire time showing her displeasure for this mission.

"He fought and saved the entire Village from them all by himself. Made the White Fang run away with their tails between their legs and killed the wave a Grimm with a huge Lightning Blast. Such a courageous young man,"said the Mother.

"Do you know where we can find him?"asked Ruby.

"Oh yes, normally he sits in the big tree in the middle of the Village, he likes to nap after fighting. Comes to me sometimes for food. I gladly provide it for him. It wasn't easy growing up for him. Not a lot of people are very fond of him, not even his own parents when they up and left him at young age."

Weiss barely paid attention to the woman's story as she the only detail she was interested in was the big tree in the middle of the village. "Thank you for the story, ma'am. Let's go Ruby." Weiss said as she drags the girl to the center of the village looking for the tree or the faunus.

"Ack! Weiss!"Ruby whined as she was dragged along.

Midnight was resting in the tree on a branch, with his Grimm Fox Kit, Bailey at the base of the tree. He then heard voices heading his way.

"Weiss! Let me go! Why are you being such an Ice Queen?"she asked.

"The sooner we find this Midnight person, the sooner we can get back. I don't want to spend another minute in this place." Weiss answered her partner as she begins to inspect the base of the tree looking for any signs that may show them where Midnight could be. "Now where is this faunus?" She asks putting her hands on her hips.
