RWBY: Cinder's Redemption (For dtrain34)
 

It was after the fall of Beacon and Ruby's sudden flash of light from her eyes. Cinder was knocked unconscious and lost her eye as well. Her team retreated, leaving her to be found by Ruby's Uncle and Ruby herself after waking up. It was a week later, and Cinder was regaining her consciousness.

"W...What happened...?"she groaned.

Ruby was sitting in a straight back chair beside the bed she’d set up for her “good, You’re awake how do you feel?” She asked curiously as she sat up and grabbed a cup filling it with water passing it to the older woman.

"Where the hell am I?"Cinder asked.

Her eyes turned more harsh “that stops right now, you’re somewhere safe and more importantly you’re alive so I want you to relax and drink the water please, I can’t imga how dry your throat is.” She replied with what seemed to be genuine concern.

Cinder growled and took the cup of water and drank it.

She nodded “thank you, now we really need to talk. For starters I wanna know why you choose to attack those who can’t even defend themselves? The people at that tournament didn’t deserve that why did you do that?” She asked curiously

"Why do you need to know, want me to admit to it so you just ship me off with the Atlas Military to interrogate and execute me?"Cinder asked, skeptical and not willing to talk about anything.

She shook her head “I want to help you, when I look into your eyes I don’t see what they see, instead I see you for what you are, a scared girl, someone who was dealt a bad hand in life then promised extreme rewards for helping Cinder but now you’re back against a wall and don’t think you can trust anyone. But I’m here for you Cinder I could have let you die up on that tower but I didn’t because I care about you and I wanna help you.” She replied honestly and sincerely hoping to see her eyes change.

Cinder only looked away, then she gripped her arm. "I...I dont..."she didn't know what to say.

She sighed “I know how to help you, will you give me a chance? I want to give you a chance at actually living your life, right now you live for someone else but you need to be living for you. What is it that you want?” She asked curiously in a tone that also conveyed her seriousness.
