[SPRING 2020 GAME JAM] Judge The Celebrity
 

Alright!

I'm a long time lurker, first time poster so this might be rough!

This is a stupid little game I made in Twine for the Game Jam (it barely qualifies).

It is a just a game that lets you decide how to spank some celebrities based on some criteria.




(By the way, mods if this game doesn't match up with the rules, please let me know. I didn't see a rule against anything here, but some days I'm blind)

Update (0410/2020): Massive update where I changed a lot of the mechanics and increased the length of play. I also made a point system and you get a special screen if you win.

Very cool concept! Although I'd much rather *be* spanked by those ladies... ;)

I must have hit a bug first off though, since I got Danielle Panabaker and *of course* I could only bring myself to use my hand with "lenient but firm"... yet I got a "fail" result which said I walloped her with a ruler! Danielle?! I would *never* do such a thing! :(

Jennifer Lawrence's "apology" made me laugh out loud. The writing and "case files" are pretty fun. Do you plan to add more celebrities?

My only complaint aside from the bug was that they always have the same offense. Also, I'd really like to be able to use some of the implements with different force; i.e. a hairbrush or slipper can be used to make someone not sit for a day... or a week!

Also, it would be nice if it had a "score" at the end so we know how we did exactly, and maybe let us play multiple days to a "win" or "game over" (with "bigger name" celebs the better you do?)

Does giving cornertime have any added effect/purpose?

Nice little game. I personally would have liked the spanking to have longer describtions.


Is it a bug that there is no text when you choose "love tabs" or is that intendet?

Wow! You both found the same error in very different ways, meanwhile I'm over here trying to figure out how it exists without crippling my game, lol.

I like this idea and might be able to do it, but as previously stated i am slow as heck so probably won't be soon lol!

I love this idea and it is my next goal for the game, or at least something similar.

It allows them to learn a valuable lesson! (So no, no in game effect, I just liked adding it)

As to the "use" of corner time... maybe you could make it so one or two celebs don't learn their lesson unless also put in the corner to reflect (they just storm off otherwise)? Higher level ones maybe? Or maybe allow the player to see 1 extra celeb if they don't use corner time more than once... with the tradeoff being a lower "rating" for the non-cornertime spankings?

Alternative... how about alternatives to corner time? At least one lady here is in need of a mouthsoaping, I suspect. And one I just want to give a nice, soothing lotion rubdown afterwards...

Looking forward to being able to use certain implements with varied severity... I was surprised how severe the slipper was (again, poor Danielle!) but really wanted to give a "won't sit for a week" hairbrushing to someone else who'll remain nameless. :)

EDIT #2: I'm proud to say that I REWARDED flipping off the paparazzi with a nice fun handspanking and got the response I wanted! :)

EDIT #3: any chance of a way to track who we've seen and haven't? If not in this version if/when you implement multiple "days"?

Hey your concept is really nice. a fun game. The guys above me already found a lot of things so i wont say anymthing more to that. Besides one thing. all these artists played in a lot of movies so it would be possible to get a picture from them with tears in theeir eyes, crying or screaming. it would be nice to see some kind of results after their corner time but that would be an extra.

Just realised what this reminded me of! I made this Windows Gadget (remember those?) years ago which was a silly little celebrity spanking (except you get a spanking from them) toy. Don't think I ever posted it, now I think about it!

A random idea for a future update: a choice of "Timewarp" or time setting at the start, where you can play in the 80's, 90's or 2000's (or some other decade... those are just my wants!) which changes the available celebrities. I can't be the only one who wants to go back in time and "visit" the cast of Buffy in the 90's or spank 80's bubblegum pop stars, can I?
