Tales of Legaria (For GloriousDeath)
 

Ethonia, a world now made of four great kingdoms separating many life forms on the planet, who have since the Demon War, lived in peace. Although, the descendants of demons have managed to populate themselves amongst other mortals, creating more breeds of demon related species, such as Kitsunes, Dark Elves, Orcs, etc.

However, after the use of 4 ancient relics, demonic powers were stripped and sealed away. The 4 relics were now being kept in hiding in each of the 4 kingdoms, which each also had a school for magic.

The North Aesirfell, The West Legaria, The South Osiria, and the East Azumo.

Now, each person who attends these schools, all have the ability to summon a weapon from their very spirits as well as having a affinity to one or two elements of magic. They attend these schools to learn to hone their skills and abilities, and to prevent another war from rising again if demons ever decided to overrun the world again.

Our story begins in the future of the west kingdom, Legaria. With a Teen Cat Sith, getting ready to attend her first year of the West Kingdom Academy.

"Oh no no no, I'm late!" the Cait Sith cries as she runs down the road towards the impressive building of the school.

This Cait Sith wore a yellow vest with one sleeve, white legwarmers and black shorts. Her cat ears and tail were black. As she ran her tail swished behind her in a panic "Why did I get up so late!" she cried. Her name was Nyx.

A young kitsune with raven spiked hair was waiting at the front gates of the school for the Cat girl, his name is Midnight. He had given up waking his feline friend after she bit his hand. To him it didn't hurt, but it annoyed him so he left her home and let her wake up on her own. He'd deal with her oversleeping later on.

Nyx came to a stop in front of the gates, her quick speed causing her to slide and kick up a lot of dust. "Ngh, why didn't you wake me up Midnight?" she complained as she rubbed her eyes a bit.

Midnight blinked and showed his hand with the bite mark,"You will be punished accordingly later for your tardiness,"he said.

Nyx turned away "Hey it's your fault for getting your hand so close to my face while I slept.". Then Nyx walked forward, pushing past the gate and walking onwards.

Midnight followed after his friend as they entered the campus together. Everyone gathered in the Auditorium for the hearing. Midnight and Nyx sat together in the dark room surrounded by other students.

As they waited the stage suddenly lit up, showing several teachers standing on it in attendance.

What was weirder was who was sitting on the center podium for the headmaster. It was a slightly large orangish brown cat with long whiskers that almost seemed to form a mustache and brows that were so large it was impossible to see the eyes beneath.

Every student took in the appearances of all the staff members. Eventually, the big cat began to speak.

"Welcome to the West Kingdom Academy of Legaria, You are all here today to learn and hone your abilities, learn to control your Magic, and most importantly, grow and help protect the world from the threat of demons or any evil who wish to cause harm and oppose justice.

Most of you have passed your exams to enter this school, others were placed in due to recommendation. However, due to the mass number of entries this year, much like the last class, there will be a Preliminary Exam tomorrow morning to determine whether or not you are ready for this school. This exam will test your combat strength, your ability to think and strategize, and most importantly, your ability to work as a team.

For tomorrow, you will draw lots to determine whoever may be your partner in a match. In a set time of 2 hours, If you and your partner manage to win up to 3 battles in combat, you both are admitted into the school. However, if you lose...better luck next year."

"Oh wow, I guess there's going to be a competition then." Nyx says aloud as she looks up at the cat "I wonder who I'll team up with.". "Hopefully not with a hardass like you." she says jokingly elbowing Midnight.
