Advice for commissioning art for game
I have two games I've created for this site: Spankophile's Dream and the sequel Spankophile's Nightmare.
These games have a LOT of spanking scenes. As is common for most of these type of RPG Maker games though, the scenes are audio only and the screen fades to black for the actual spanking action. I would like to have some artwork to illustrate the spankings instead of a black screen. My first game has two main characters, but the second game has a lot more. I didn't make a list of all the spankings in the first game, but I know the second game has 25. Due to the numbers and variety, it would be ridiculously expensive to commission art for each and every scene. Even at reasonable rates, that would add up quickly. So it seems I'm left with three options here that I can see: 1. I can commission a few somewhat generic scenes such as a view of a character in position with the spanker not visible in the picture. That way, pictures can be reused somewhat (although there is a good bit of variety with positions and implements). But I can try to find ways to consolidate as much as possible to keep costs down. 2. Find some way to crowdsource funding for art commissions, so that I can actually give each scene the attention it deserves. But I guess I would need to get definite figures on total cost before I can try crowdsourcing. 3. Find an artist with a compatible style who would like to be credited as a co-creator of the games. I've spent hundreds of hours making these games, but creating art for the scenes would likely be enough of a time investment that I would be comfortable crediting the artist as a co-creator. The only way I see this happening is if the artist is actually a fan of the games, so our tastes would need to align. Are there any other options I haven't considered yet? |
