Cosmic Powers (For lowmobile)
 

Camila finished tracing the last symbol of the complicated ritual she had been working on continuously for two days.

After years of research, the time had come.
She had stumbled upon that ritual when she was a young fifteen-year-old apprentice, with no magical powers, of an alchemist.
She was a little girl at the time, but she knew right away that this was gold. She had stolen the book that contained it and ran away, looking for the ingredients.

And after five years, at her twenty, she had finally managed to get them all.

According to the book, that ritual would open a portal and summon a demon bound to her. A slave who would give her the power she wanted.
She would have taken revenge on all those who had mocked and mistreated her when she was a little girl, including that old alchemist who took advantage of her every excuse to punish her...
She wiped her hands from the chalk on her light skirt, lit the candles in the deserted room, and began to pronounce the formula on the parchment, trying to read where in some places the words had faded.
What she Camila did not know was that one of the words that was canceled was the one necessary to choose and bind the demon.

A noxious smoke bellowed into the room followed by a wave a searing dry heat. Ifrit opened his eyes as he crossed into the plane, entering a new world. He stepped into the room, an encountered a tiny woman - at least tiny compared to him.

He was a hulking structure, far larger than the average man, and much more thick and muscular. His skin had a reddish hue and it emanated a heat, not painful, but at least uncomfortable. Only a few rags covered his body, and only just barely.

"Who dares to summon me without permission?" he bellowed. "I should incinerate you!" He looked at Camila menacingly. He eyed her lovely form and was able to view her alchemical prowess. "Unless you bind yourself to my service," he added

Camila took two steps back as the being cheered in all its fury.

Her heart was beating wildly, she had made it, Years of toil and in the end she had made it.
With the power of that demon in her service she would become unstoppable.

The creature's words, however, came unexpectedly.
"Bind me to you?" she exclaimed bewildered.
It wasn't fair, according to the ritual, that demon should already have obeyed her orders.

"You're trying to deceive me," she exclaimed, convinced, she had an uncommon determination and was clearly visible. "You are tied to me, kneel in front of your mistress!", She ordered, convinced that Ifrit was trying to trick her to break that bond. Camila was absolutely unaware of having a free demon in front of her, she was convinced that he could not even touch her with a finger.

Ifrit put on a half-smile, masking his internal fury at her smugness. He rested his palm against her neck and stroked her cheek with his thumb, the heat emanating from his body passing on to her. "Nobody can bind the Ifrit, little one." He pinched her cheek to show his ability to harm her. "Now make your oath on your knees before I show you some true pain." With his hand on her, he could feel her heart racing.

Camila's eyes widened.
That was not a deception.
The moment she realized it she knelt down, frightened.
Her heart was beating madly. An unbound demon could have incinerated her, submitting was the only way out.
The book with the ritual had fallen a short distance away, still open on the right page. On the opposite page was an oath of allegiance that the demon should have taken.
But it was she who spelled it out, sanctioning that submissive bond.
It wasn't what she wanted, but she could have died if she rebelled.
"I am at your service, master," she said, her voice trembling.

"Very wise, little one." He placed his hand on her hand and magic flowed through him and her. "When you call the name of Master Ifrit, you will be able to call forth my powers as long as I am near." He looked at their size difference. "Perhaps, I might stand out in this world of yours." He focused his energy and changed his form, decreasing his size as well as the redness of his skin tone and the heat, he emanated.

"In this form, we can be seen together. It may also make it easier to punish you when you serve me poorly."

Camila gasped as she felt the heat hit her.
She was screwed.
But would she still not have been able to tap into that power? She could still have her revenge on her and in the process try to figure out if there was a way to get out of trouble.

"How can I serve you, master?" She asked as a shiver ran down her spine.
Punish her?

Ifrit nodded. He was still dressed in the revealing rags of his previous form. "I shall require clothing from your world. Also I need a shelter of sorts. I suppose yours shall do in a pinch." He walked toward the exit. "You can also tell me your goals and purpose for summoning me. Your name, as well."
