Cody Calf's Cowboy Training (private RP for KionTheFiercest)
 

A calm breeze blew over the desert as it was a rare day for the normally hectic Cowtown. Folks were coming to a from the little shops or from the Tumbleweed Saloon, not a cross word to be heard or a fight to be seen. Marshal Moo Montana gave a small smile as he sat back in his chair. It was nice to have nothing to do every once in a while when you lived in such a lively town such as Cow-


CRASH!


Moo jolted upright at the loud sound as he blinked wildly. Looking around, his eyes finally landed on what caused the commotion. A baseball laid on the floor, surrounded by broken glass. Frowning a bit, Moo got to his hooves and marched to the Marshal's office door before opening it to see the offender.



Cody Calf, nephew of the saloon owner Miss Lily, looked at him with a look of pure horror. In his hand was a catcher's mitt, and one glance at the Marshal's face, the 10 year old grinned a bit sheepishly.



"Heheh...howdy Moo...can I get my ball back?"

"Cody, what did I tell you about playing ball close to any windows?" Moo asked, sternly.

"I'm sorry Moo...it was an accident! Honest!" Cody pleaded as he tried to get out of the punishment that was surely about to befall him. "It just bounced off the side of the building and-" He was instantly silenced as Moo held a hand up for quiet.



"No buts Mister. As it says in the Code of the West, you make your bed, you gotta lay in it." Moo scolded as he pointed into the building behind him. "I've warned you numerous times about this. So now we're gonna have a little talk of breaking rules."

"Aren't ya gonna have that talk with Jake and Carly, too? They were here and ran when the ball went into the window." Cody protested.

"Well that depends, who threw the ball in the first place?" Moo asked with a raised eyebrow. Cody looked at his feet sheepishly as he walked into the office. Perking up, he went to say something, but Moo cut him off. "And who's idea was it to play around here?" The little bull calf sulked as he looked back down at his feet. "That's what I thought." Moo sighed a bit as he shut the door behind them. Pulling his chair out from his desk, Moo sat down on it before giving the little calf a stern look. "Cody, how many times have I told you, don't play near any buildings?" He scolded.

"I lost count but more than ten." Cody said.

(also, if Cody was holding the bat, that means either Jake or Carly threw the ball)

Moo's unchanging look of stern disappointment was a clear sign the little calf's attempt at humor failed.



"But I am sorry Moo! Honest!" With those words, Moo had suddenly gotten a strange case of Déjà Vu. Back to when he had first arrived to Cowtown and gotten to know everyone, especially a certain young black and white calf. Cowlorado had been almost like Cody when he was just a small calf-pint, right down to how much trouble he got himself into. Giving a sigh, Moo also remembered how he'd deal with the calf back in the day when he got into a mess of trouble.


"I'm sorry Calf-Pint, but this is for your own good." Moo gently picked the young bull up from under his arms.

(wait, is this a flashback or is this still about Cody and is Jake and/or Carly gonna be spanked, too?)

Still Cody, and no, just Cody for right now.

"No, Moo! Don't give me a hidin'!" Cody pleaded.
