Star Wars: Shadows of The Past (Bolty)
 

3,000 years before the Galactic Empire, the Republic was at peace. The Jedi Order protected the galaxy and the Republic, their commitment to the light strong. And sometimes to protect that light the Jedi had to step between two sides of a war, as Master Gavin had been called to do on the outer rim. As the human male prepared to jump his ship to hyperspace he received a distress call.

"Looks like we'll have to delay our return to the temple, I've just gotten a distress call from a group of archeologists." He said over the intercom to his close friend, and his young padawan.

Okay, let’s check it out, the padawan said, eager to explore new lands and help people out.

Gavin dropped the ship out of lightspeed, coming upon a desert world. "Hello, this is Master Gavin of the Jedi Order. Do you copy?"

"Copy that Master, we are tracking you now." A voice said over the vox system. "Are you alone?"

"Negative." Gavin replied. "I am here with my padawan and a fellow master." He waited for them to identify themselves."

The master replied, “I am master Devon.” The Padawan replied, “I am Rae.”

Gavin pointed towards the view screen, showing a close up of the planet. Huge craters marked it, along with deserts of glass. "What do you make of that?" He asked Rae.


(Not sure. Not really my department.)

Rae said, “that looks like a lot of craters, I wonder what couldv’e happened to all those people.

"Those are battle scars." Gavin told her. "Orbital bombardment turned this planet into a desert, probably a long time ago. If this was a warzone, then these archeologists may have dug up something dangerous."

They landed on the planet.

Gavin flew them towards a small makeshift spaceport. Among the various pre-fab buildings could be seen the symbol of Czerka Corp, well-known for it's shady dealings.

"I might have guessed." Gavin said. "They're always caused headaches for the Jedi."

“What was their significance,” Rae asked Gavin.
