"I'm on it, boss."

20-year-old Kari Tsukumo ended the call with her boss. She scribbled in her note app with her stylus, mentally running through all the steps that she'd need to do to be successful in this job. Journalism was a cutthroat field, so she'd need to be quick. But first, Kari could swear she was forgetting something...

"Ah, Yuma. He never came downstairs." Kari realized. Yuma couldn't be late again. Kari really didn't want another teacher-parent conference that was just about Yuma's tardiness.

Kari reluctantly walked upstairs to the attic to check on him...to find Yuma snoozing away in his cot. He hadn't even started getting ready yet?! With a vein poking out of her head, Kari raised her hand and brought it down on Yuma's behind, which was poking up vulnerably.

Yuma had been sleeping peacefully, as he swayed in his hammock.

When Kari landed the spank, he yelped, and jumped in surprise.

This of course, caused his hammock to twist, and dump him on the floor.


"Ow" he groaned, wincing as he sat up, "What's the big idea Kari?"

(Can we stick with the English names? It's what I watched, what I know best.)

Kari placed her hands on her hips and glowered down at her little brother.

"Huh?" he asked, looking at the clock, "Oh s***! I'm late!"

He stood up, and then started pulling his pajama shirt off, as he scrambled to get dressed.

Kari's lips thinned at Yuma's cursing. Where did he learn to talk like that? It definitely wasn't from her or Grandma. Or their parents, for that matter! Between not waking up on time and cursing, Yuma was long overdue for a conversation with the palm of her hand.

"Hold on just a minute, Yuma. You're going to be late regardless, at this point. Sooo, let's take a moment to discuss your habit of oversleeping and cursing." Kari said, reaching out and grabbing Yuma's wrist.

"Huh?" he asked, dropping his shirt, as he was grabbed, "What are you doing Kari? I gotta get dressed and get going! If I go now, I can still make it in time!"

"Don't worry, little bro. I'll drive you to school...after you and I have a talk." Kari said, with a stern gleam in her eyes. Still holding Yuma's wrist, Kari took a seat and pulled her little brother over her lap.

"Hey!" he cried, struggling to get up, "Lemme go! What are you doing?!"

"I'm giving you a lesson, Yuma." Kari said, sternly. She raised her hand and brought it down on Yuma's pajama covered bottom.

"Ow!" he cried, squirming, "Hey! Cut it out!"
