Roommate Retribution
 

Sam "Samuel" Evengreens ran a hand through his hair as he looked at the rent that was due, and what was left in his account after a long time of partying. He flinched he didnt have it in him to stop his life style. He sighed as he put a ad in the newspaper for a roommate. He figured someone of a bit younger age would be easier to manipulate and still keep his life style. He had interviewed a gentleman one of three before he got tired and just took one that seemed to be less of a hassle during the interview. He didnt know his laziness was going to be a remodel of his life with his new roommate who was currently moving into his room.

Scott Matthews looked around a bit as he carried the last box into his new room. He had seen the ad, and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to take what he saw, with how simple and cheap it looked. He was new to town so any news of any persons lifestyle, or anything in the neighborhood, were lost to him, so he was far from aware what his new roommate was going to start causing. However, unfortunately for Samuel, this young man, probably half his age, knew how to handle things. Setting the box down, he decided he’d finish unpacking later and went to go greet his new roommate

He sat on his couch playing his video game, grey black hair a bit wild as he saw the younger man enter the room. He paused his game and took off his ear phones and said "how ya settling man" he extended his hand in greeting.

Scott smiled and shook his head when he saw him act kind and respectful to him, as he looked him over. He was a bit surprised that the man was a bit messy in his hair, but he didn’t let it show, or think much on it. “I’m doing fine. Final box is ready to be unpacked. Decided to take a break and come say hello and figured we could talk about any ground rules between us.”

"Oh yeah um i didnt really think if that but sounds reasonable" he said with a small stammer at the beginning having not anticipated rules. He sat down on the couch and set his feet on the coffee table as he said "so um what are you think?" He said in a blasie careless tone.

Scott noticed how he acted and took a mental note as he sat down as well. “Well I guess we can figure out simple stuff. Staying out of each others things, trading off who does what tasks around the house.” He started listing the basics of what a normal roommate duo would get by with as he wondered how he’d respond

The not touching each others things made sense, he did scowl breifly at the trading household tasks but he quickly recovered as he said "yeah i mean that all sounds reasonable" he said trying to sound light about it and unaffected, it wasnt like hed have to actually worry about it.

He nodded a little at the man and looked around. “Other than that, I don’t see much issue with anything. As long as we kept things up, I see things going quite smooth.”

"Yeah totally i agree" he said as he ate some chips and relaxed back into the couch, he grabbed his game controller "you play?" He asked offering another controller to his new roommate.

“Not much. I did a little with my brother but I am not as familiar as most.” He admitted and looked at the screen, not taking the controller due to uncertainty but he didn’t seem to mind watching
