Guide: how to search itch io for spanking games
 

This guide will be short.

Basically, itch io has a bug in which tags that are not very popular don't display all of their games. One of those unpopular tags is spanking tag. As a result, searching by that tag shows only three games.

Which can be quite baffling, because some of the more popular spanking games like "Trick or treat", "Wet dream diary", Brat of the wild etc have that tag in more information. But clicking on that tag displays only 3 games and its not any of those.

So, what to do? Change url and add more popular tag in front of spanking.

For example:
https://itch.io/games/tag-erotic/tag-spanking

Now the search shows 53 games, including those mentioned above!

Adult and spanking shows 62
https://itch.io/games/tag-adult/tag-spanking

Edit: This is if you are not logged in. If you are logged in, go to Settings > Profile > Content — Show content marked as adult in search & browse

you only show 3 games due to not enabling NSFW games
I only have a spanking tag and i show this below

I'm getting the exact opposite results. I get a lot more relevant matches when searching specifically for the "spanking" tag.

My bad. I should have pointed out this is used when someone is not logged in.

not really, you could add tag NSFW or ADULT.
Did it just out of curiosity. spanking+NSFW - 20 games, spanking+ADULT - mindblowing 62 games!

I mean, you are getting 20 to 62.... im getting 92.... lmao there is a clear difference here.

Hmm. Wonder what that is about. I am seeing 98 results with just tag-spanking.

oh idk why i said 92, i was getting 97 but now its 98 with the new game that appeared lastnight.
