Boys Will Be Boys, And Men Will Be Men...

Two men walked along the dusty streets of this new trade town, called Barter town. As the name suggested, the city was full of people who have come to exchange goods weather it be trading up or trading down. “I don’t like the idea of leaving out weapons there.” Red said to Jett. Now Jett was the smaller of the two men. Only about five feet tall he was of average height. Though he was built., clearly he did much physical work to gain such a physic. Though he was slimmer then his partner giving him the looks of a faster more flexible fighter. Pale skin made up the smooth un marred plains of his well toned body. Jet black hair framed his face. The dark inky hair was pulled back in to a loose pony tail falling to his shoulders. Rather young and handsome he was defiantly a looker for the ladies. Though in contrast his partner was much different. Red dressed in dark leather. A tight black leather and silver studded vest clung to his large chest; hugging every curve and crevices. He wore skin tight, dark-midnight, worn-down, jeans formed to his well sculpted legs nicely forming wrinkles at his crotch making his pants quite suggestive. There was a spiked belt slipped through the denim; he wore a choker to match. Fingerless gloves covered his hands, metal knuckles made it clear not to pick a fight. His dark strapped boots only added to his height just about topping eight feet tall. His warm caramel colored skin was marked by several tattoos only one was visible though as hi snaked down his right arm. Dark yellow eyes scanned the tavern as he and his friend stepped in. dark red hair fell over his broad shoulders and swayed a little as he walked. The two seated them selves at the end of the bar it’s self.

The rest of the patrons glowered at the two newcomers. Barter Town was a rough place, ruled more by money and fear than law and justice. A couple orcs in the corner muttered at Red's powerful figure, and some other men snorted in derision at Jett's ponytail. Sooner or later, the two men would be challenged in this town, and if they couldn't back up their looks with real strength they'd be left with only the clothes on their back, if even that.

From down the bar, two beers slid their way. When Jett and Red looked to the source, a well-muscled man in a ripped, sleeveless vest nodded to them. A green bandanna looped around his head, with short, spiky dark hair appearing to sprout out from it. There was a knife-scar on his cheek, showing light against his stubble, and another scar cutting vertically across one eyebrow. His vest was unbuttoned at the top, and a strong chest lined with coarse hair could be spied through the gap. A tattoo of a green dragon stood out on his big right shoulder and upper arm, which appeared to ripple when he picked up his own drink in salute. "Haven't seen you two in town before, but you look like you can take care of yourselves. Mercenaries?"

Red happily took the drink. Jett didn't take it in stead he shoved it over to Red and reached in to his coat and gave him some cash to offer at least seeming a bit shyer. Jett was the one who was really, covered up. Red sighed taking it from his partner before ruffling his hair roughly. Jet angerly batted his head away before turning away from him a little po'ed. Red chuckled as he walked over to the other. "Well in away he is a Mercenaries... but we are really here to try and trade out some stuff from our caravan.Ya know looking to make some profit?" He leaned on the bar counter and smiled before tossing the stack Jett had given him on the counter. If he wanted it he could take it. "Have you been around this place more then once?" he asked lightly, clearly happy to find some one new to talk to. Though he had left Jett all by himself.

"Oh, I've been all over. But yes, I know this area well," the man said. He made no move to take the coins. "You could say that I'm involved in a bit of everything. Mercenaries, weaponry, livestock, spices, even sorcerous goods."

He extended one meaty hand for a shake. "Y'can call me Angus. What manner of merchandise are you dealing in, my large friend?"

Red took the offered hand giving him a firm greeting "And my name is Andres, but you can call me Red." He paused listening to him intently. "Oh we have an assortment of things. Weapons, cloth, and a lot of machinery." he nodded thinking about all the engineering stuff Jett had tried to tell him about.


Jett sighed leaned down resting his head on his arms. He listened quietly at the two seemed to start talking about trade. Though he mentally started to list off thing Red had missed like the exotic animals and what not.

From the corner of his eye, Angus noticed a goblin pick-pocket advancing up behind the solitary Jett. Angus gave the thug a scowl and quickly shook his head, warning him off. The pick-pocket slunk back into the shadows.

"Machinery, eh? Never heard of it, but the rest sounds fascinating," Angus said, turning back to Red. "Why don't we head down to your cart and you can show me exactly what you're bringing in?"

Red Nodded before glancing over a shoulder "Oi Jett... show 'em your goods." The way red ha d said that made Jett beam a small crystal ball at him. Ren Caught it clearly enjoying his partner. Jett hopped up and headed that way trying not to lock glances with any one in the tavern even the girls that had caught attention of him. "Red downed the dirk. before setting the glass on the counter "After you." he bowed in a mock way. It was clear Red liked to joke around a lot.

Jett carefully stepped out side in to the streets once more expecting anything . He was quite wary of this trade town.

Angus followed, enormously pleased with himself. The drink he'd given Red had been drugged with a sleeping drought. When it took effect, even a big man like Red would be knocked out cold. By that time, they'd have reached the cart and he'd only have the quiet one to worry about. Then he'd have a good haul of rare goods to sell himself, on the black market. He didn't know exactly what these two men were selling, but Angus had a nose for rarities, and he was sure whatever it was had to be valuable.

He nodded back into the tavern before the door closed, signalling his best man. A hulking minotaur stood up from his table, and followed them out--but staying a good distance behind. He was named Raz, and was Angus' "muscle" on jobs like this.

Red and Jett had led them out of town to where they had their caravan set up much like a large camp sight. Red was just now starting to feel the effects. and leaned against a rocky cliff side watching them through blurring vision. Jett noticed his partner's change and took it with out signs. Jett went and leaned against one of the three car like things they had. It was in fact his favorite one- he had spent the most working on it. everything on the out side was covered with dust. The Camels seemed to be enjoying them selves as they lay in the sand taking a well earned break. These two had QUITE the haul. It was an amazement they didn't get attacked with all that by now! Jett quietly watched the other.

"What's the matter?" Angus chuckled. "Drink something that didn't agree with you?"

He took in the campsite. he'd been expecting a meager cart of goods, but what he saw instead was more like a veritable treasure-trove. He whistled appreciatively. Then he advanced on Jett. A long knife flicked into his hand. "I'll be taking these products now. T'was a pleasure doing business with you both."
