"Tensho!" Rodrigo read from his black book,making Suzaku,his Mamodo,launch a rain of fireballs who burned his opponent's book.

"No,my book....my Mamodo vanished!" the man yelled,running away.

"We won,Rodrigo!At this rate,we'll be the winning team!" Suzaku said,excited.

"Yes,Suzaku.We now have a purpose in life....something that I lacked when I was alone.I'm glad to have met you...." Rodrigo said.He lost his famly early,and untill he met Suzaku,he was alone.Now he had a friend,and would help Suzaku remember his lost memories by becoming the Mamodo King.

Suzaku smiled."Thanks!I'll do my best!"

A short while after Zatch had reclaimed his memory and found out about how his cruel twin brother wanted him to suffer by erasing it a list of events took place that lead Zatch and Kio taking on the evil Zofis. After Brago and Sherry defeated Zofis, Zatch slowly but surely entered a small phase of depression.

Kiyo and his friends tried to cheer him up but not much resulted from it. Not even the Volkcan 300 helped any longer.

At that time Kio decided it'd be best to take Zatch out for some Ice-Cream.

Rodrigo and Suzaku,by coincidence,were also going to get an Ice Cream.Rodrigo found it ironic that his fire Mamodo,Suzaku,loved Ice Cream too.Rodrigo sat down with his black book on his side as he ordered Suzaku's favorite Ice Cream,chocolate,and his own,White Chocolate.

"Now, you can't be moping all the time Zatch. We're getting you some ice-cream okay?" Kiyo said in the nicest way he could.

"... Okay..." Zatch said relaying through his mind how the events that had taken place were drawn out...

They reached the Ice Cream place and got their goods then sat down across from who they didn't know were a boy and his mamodo.

Suzaku looked at them as he waited."Hey,Rodrigo,look....he's got a book too..." he said as he noticed it.

"I see....but we can't fight here,and anyway,we fought enough for today.....let's just eat our Ice cream." he said as their order arrived.

Zatch couldn't eat it all. He was feeling really depressed. He was being unintentionally messy when he was slowly eating it.

Kiyo sighed at Zatch's behavior then noticed that Suzaku was looking them. More specifically their book.

Kiyo didn't say anything but he guessed that they must be who he though they were.

"Rodrigo.....he looks really depressed....it's no fun to fight like this.....and you're an easy target too....maybe I should at least try to see what is wrong with him,maybe I can help..." Suzaku said.

"Do what you want,Suzaku.....but remember,don't fight now..." Rodrigo said.

Kiyo saw them get up but didn't hesitiate when he saw them.

Rodrigo went to them with Suzaku.

"Yo.You probably noticed I have a book too....however,we had our share of fights today.I have no intention to fight,and let alone here.For today,I mean." Rodrigo said to Kiyo.

Suzaku sat down on Zatch's side."Hey,why are you so sad?It's not good for us to be like this,or to our human partners." he asked with a smile.

Kiyo sighed.

"Good... Zatch certainly isn't in the mood for it, and in turn neither am I..."

"... I guess..." Zatch mumbled letting his ice-cream drip.
