Girl Next Door (For pejiilu)
 

Chris, a very average slightly shy 14 year old, sat near the back of the bus, by his friend Joe, on his way home from school. He had some homework to do but he was ready to go home and relax for awhile before he even thought about it. He looked across the aisle and saw his neighbor Lucy. He had grown up next to Lucy his whole life and they were on friendly terms though they really didn't hang out together at school. She was part of the emo/punk crowd and he fit in more with the preppy kids.

The bus pulled up to the end of his street with a sudden stop. An observant eye would of caught Chris wincing as he bounced in his seat before standing up and making his way off the bus. Lucy followed him off as they were the only two kids on this particular stop. They generally walked down the road to their houses together although neither usually said much. "Hey Lucy.", Chris said quietly as he made his way to the sidewalk.

Lucy saw him look at her but she didn't Pay to much attestation to him she knew him all her life but was not to keen on him, Lucy got of too "Hello Chris..." Lucy mumbled

Chris smiled back, a little awkwardly, when Lucy said hello. "Man I have too much homework this year." he said lamely, not able to think of anything better to say as they walked down the street toward their houses. He stole a quick glance in Lucy's direction. She really was kind of cute, especially for an emo girl, he thought.

Lucy kinda smiled some at his voise deep down she really loved him "yeah killer..." Lucy Said As she Triped foward fell onto the Grass

Chris started to blush just a little when Lucy responded sarcastically to his lame statement, but before she even finished her comment Lucy tripped and flopped in the nearby yard. He scrambled over to her side and helped pull her up with one hand. "You ok?", he asked, trying not to grin and laugh at her misstep.

Lucy had no Comment to make she just brushed off and kept walking

Chris walked the rest of they way down the street quietly. "I'll see you later." he called back as he headed down his driveway making his way to his front door.

"Leter Preppy" Lucy said as she walked to her house and opened her purse looking for her keys

Chris was used to Lucy's less than polite comments and normally didn't pay them any attention. He opened the door to his own home and went inside and turned the tv om before plopping down in his favorite recliner to unwind from a long day at school.

Lucy Was Still out side trying to find her house key and finly Gave up Ten minutes later and when it started to pour down Raining so she walked over to Chris's house and knocked on the door
