Information on the Paddle
 

Hi everybody

I was wondering where you get paddles from, 'cause I really want to try one out. Anybody have any ideas?

What makes a paddle so special, anyway? I mean - what's the difference between a paddle and your avarage hair brush for example?

well...I can't tell you what the difference between a paddle and a hair brush is (and for FREAK's sake I shouldn't praise the paddle too much I think xD) but I think it is first a bit larger than a hair brush and heavier. Well....you can buy it in sex shops (we've got a lot here in Hamburg ^^ I looked around myself there ^^) And you can also buy it on internet pages (ebay maybe?) I can send you some links to pages where you can buy them in germany ^__^

If you want a fraternity-type paddle and you live around a college or university, there will usually be a trophy or awards store somewhere near. These trophy stores often have fraternity paddles. When we lived near Northwestern University that's where I got a paddle as a gift for my guy, and they even personalized it with our names (it came with a rather lewd etching of a bare-bottomed girl!).

Anyway, I've sadly not yet been treated with either of these instruments of correction. What I do know, however, is that there is a wide variety of paddles, some more severe than a hairbrush and some less so, making "the paddle" hard to rate.

As for shopping: I've heard a store called the London Tanners recommended highly. I believe you can order their stuff online. If not, just go to the nearest sex shop, they'll be bound to have something.
