Cold.
Such weather did not bother Sesshoumaru but it irritated his already foul mood. He had learned about the human wench's death just recently and knew that it now meant that his fulfillment of family honor must be done. As foul the thought of being around the half breed child was, Sesshoumaru was not one to stain his father's name by refusing the helpless welp shelter until he was old enough to care for himself though he knew it might well be a century or several, given that he carried half demon blood and they tended to age much slower.
It was not a task he welcomed but one he would embrace for the sake of his father's name.
"Give!"
Sesshoumaru glanced up, hearing a small pup's voice and smelling a mix of his father's blood.
The half breed was close

The boy was trying to get some fish from several village children.
"GIVE IT NOW!" He screached out. Tears threatening the small eyes of the young hanyou.

They yanked the fish away "Goaway demon!" they hissed at him before storming off, fish in hand. The small half breed fell to his knees, growling in frustration but mainly in hunger. His stomach protested its emptiness immensely.
"Just wanted one fish." he scowled to himself and approached the river again

"GO away filth! you can not fish here this is OUR river," One of the village men hissed ushering the children away throwing the fish out.
"You children don't want to eat that its been touched by that filthy half breed. I'll get you all one from another spot." InuYasha, stared stunned then at himself again looking into the reflection.
"Stupid half breed, not wanted why doesn't anyone want me?" He whimpered as the rains started to come down.
"Mother why did you leave? You say you stay with me for ever the four year old whimpered curling up in the hollow of a tree trying to keep warm.

Sesshoumaru paused, easily smelling the pup even through the rain. He stormed over to the tree. He did not kneel but he spoke, solemnly
"Inuyasha."
A small head peeked out. Inuyasha stared, it was Sesshoumaru, the older brother that came around really rarely. Why was he here?
"maru...

"Come out here now, this Sesshoumaru has no time for your antics come now" The boy poked his head out. He did not like Sesshoumaru not after the ways he'd been treated by him when he came to check on the boy.
"No way." The child hissed."No way in hell you going to be mean to me." Sesshoumaru grabbed the boy and jerked him out. The pup bit his brothers arm as it wrapped around grabbing his scruff.
"Let me go!" InuYasha growled through his baby milk teeth.

Nothing. If anything, Sesshoumaru hardly felt anything. The pup's milk teeth were like bugs on his arm. He regarded the pup silently.
"This Sesshoumaru will not allow you to die."
Inuyasha froze and looked upward

He just picked the pup up and threw him onto the dragons back.
"NO I don't wanna go with you no you'll be mean"!

Life will be crueler." was the cold reply "Feel lucky I am taking you
No, wanna go! You be mean!" the pup leapt off and ran though only to be snatched up by the dragon's left head

Sesshoumaru walked into the palace and dropped the pup at his old care takers feet, coldly.
"Take the half breed and to as you wish as long as it's not death
